Should public schools be investigated (for political bias) ?

With the advent of the table top computer the public school system has become obsolete. Shuttering these relics of the past would save taxpayers BILLION$. I do support retaining the gymnasiums for community entertainment centers. The school structures could be modified for apartments, commercial offices, medical/rehab center etc. As for the lefty so called educators, getting them out of teaching education is of paramount importance regarding the future of our America.

Yeah, and kids can burn their house down while their parents are working, never learn how to interact in a real live social setting, or learn how to cooperate or work together when they have to deal with other people who may not share their desires, and become self-righteous spoiled babies that put their immediate gratification and desires above all else.

But **** it, I could be wrong about all that and everything could work out just fine.
Personally, I am thankful that school district where I live provides a hell of a lot more to children than the classroom or the Chromebook they are all issued.

We tried that during Covid. Didn't work.

This is all too well known to need any more proof than the mountains of it that occured when Covid brought indoctrination classes into kids' computer screens in their bedrooms, then seen by horrified parents, who then lambasted their school boards all over America.
How do you know this.
I was actually doing this 'on-line' learning during covid (while you were doing what?) and NONE of what you claim ever happened.

You make me ill.
You misinterpreted my claim/blame. Public schools are all schools publicly financed, from kindergarten to graduate schools. Of courde the universities indoctrinate.

Try being a teacher in a public university & sitting in the faculty lounge, & having coffee with some of these leftist lunatics,. Just one hour would blow you away. I did it for 3 years.
I did it for 40+
You are a LOON, a complete idiot.
Sadly it took them 3 years to bump your ASS.

Actually, the first public schools used the Bible to help children read.

They even..........gulp...........prayed in school.

How the US survived that archaic Nazi past is but a mystery. They didn't even try to convince kids to have their sex parts mutilated. Why they did not all kill themselves because they could not have access to a sex change before they were old enough to actually have sex as an adult, may never be known.

To answer the question you posed in the OP…..YES. The liberal indoctrination is much worse than it was in the 1980s. Its most recent “effort” is to demonize Israel, and Jewish kids at the liberal high school are bullied and assaulted. The principal and teachers will do nothing to stop it, and the Muslims elected to the School Board are actively egging it on.

The kids are throughly indoctrinated. They know nothing other than 1) Trump bad, 2) ICE agents bad, 3) illegals aliens are good people who just want a better life and those opposed are racist, and 4) Jews are committing “genocide.”

After the school makes sure that all kids are in line with all that, they MIGHT have time to teach academics.
Sounds about right. We see it in the news & in videos every day.

A friend of mine from my Synogogue has pulled her high school student out due to bullying and enrolled him in the Jewish Day School. He’s much happier there, she told me, and the education is superior.

(The big problem is that it costs $20K a year, but public school in the liberal DC area is out of the question.)
It's out of the question in pretty much all blue cities and in red ones too, if they're public schools, although here in Florida, ther have been crackdowns, and they chased a lot of the trash out.

I think it depends on your age. If you went to grammar school in the 50's, politics was not an issue. It all started in the 60's. I remember college teachers starting to go rogue and inserting politics into classes that had nothing to do with politics. It's just gotten worse from there. Today, we had teachers advocating for gender reassignment, homosexuality, etc. In the past, teachers stayed in their own lane.
Telling it like it was/is. Good post.

Investigated By Who?

If you do not support the Department of Education because you don't think it is any of the federal government's business, then it wouldn't make any sense to have Federal Agencies investigate, nor would it provide any statues by which to be investigated.

If your children go to school, it is your job to investigate the curriculum they are being taught.
If you have a problem with the curriculum, then you need to address that issue with the school board.
If you have a problem with the school board then you need to talk to your neighbors and elect school board members that better respect your desires, and if that doesn't work take it to the State level, then rinse and repeat.

There are school districts in this Nation that don't put up with a lot of crap.
There are school districts in this Nation that won't entertain gender nonsense.
There are school districts in this Nation where they do still say a prayer before a football game.
And so on.

If your school district is not performing to levels you desire, whether it be at the Local, State or even Federal Level, seize your power and stop waiting for someone else to save your rear end. Then you can spend the money you won't be spending on an useless investigation, that at best could only validate what you already know (or should), and spend it in the classroom or on athletic facilities at the school, providing better opportunities for you as a taxpayer to have some damn control over your community and stop kicking the can to someone else.
Answered this back in the thread. Waste of typing.

You know what most parents really saw during that ridiculously failed experiment with "remote learning"? The ceiling above their student's laptop, a frozen screen image, or nothing at all.
Here's a multiple choice - you heard that on >>>
a. CNN
b. MSNOW
c. PBS
EARTH TO UNKOTARE: frozen screen images don't mesh with millions of parents nationwide, screaming at wokey school boards.

Exactly WHAT the "hell of a lot" is....is the question that needs more examination.

Yes it did. It worked great at EXPOSING the trashy stuff teachers were teaching kids. Parent got eyefuls & earfuls. The one good thing that came out of Covid.

Should public schools be investigated (for political bias) ?

My answer is a resounding YES.

The matter is simply this: If it is wrong for a government-run school to stand in your way of choosing the free exercise of your religion, then why should that same school be having any say in your choosing your own nascent political leanings as a growing youth, neither?
