Thank you for your respect, and while many of Israelis wish to the chance to re-enter Gaza and rebuilt what they have lost, I doubt it is the right solution.

There is a saying in Israel- "whoever escapes from Gaza, Gaza haunts him down". However, saying in Gaza, or taking responsibility over it, I fear will end with even worse results.

It's worth a try, so long as you do not feel strategically threatened by such an outcome.

But, whatever you do, be certain to exterminate Hamas, before you turn it over to the Egyptians.

Who knows... given their own blockade and border controls, perhaps they'll even join you in the Great Hamas Bug-Hunt of 2014, before you give 'em the keys to the place.

What's left of Rump Palestine wouldn't make a respectable-sized 'county' in most US states, and there's no chance that it can be made into a viable and self-sustaining nation-state, so why maintain an unsustainable state of affairs. Time to pull the plug on Palestine.

The Palestinians aren't really competent to rule themselves anyway, they've only caused the world grief, and they simply aren't worth the trouble - a view that much of the world has long held, and a conclusion that the Ummah is quickly reaching on its own.

Might as well begin breaking the Palestinians up into smaller groups and to begin scattering them to the Four Winds, asking Egypt to take on some of their old clientele and their tiny strip of land in Gaza.

Naturally, Israel and the EU and the UN (and even the US) can chip-in with some financial assistance, to help the Egyptians to demilitarize the Gaza Strip and to build some new and decent infrastructure in that most unhappy sliver of land.

I have to believe that Hamas offered such lip-service to appease their Western welfare donors to keep the money spigot flowing. In connection with any position taken by Hamas (and any other of the Islamic terrorist organizations in Gaza / the Middle East), actions speak with the utmost clarity.

When Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in a hoped-for land swap for peace, the palis had an opportunity to take their western welfare dollars and make an attempt at building a productive society. But as we saw, the Pali welfare cheats had no interest in doing so. Unfortunately, ”Palestinian Mentality” speaks volumes about the human condition of ignorance and a politico-religious perspective which devalues life. Those who are unfettered by a moral compass and who place such little value on life can be expected to throw their children to the trash heap.

The Islamic leaders in Gaza, not to mention pious Muslims worldwide, are crystal clear on what Islam's mission and goals are. Why aren't we? Are we so complacent in the assumption that everyone must respect the rule of law, equality, plurality, and other benefits of liberal democracy, that we are unable to conceive of entire cultures holding such concepts in utter contempt? Because the teachings of the koran, the sunnah, and sharia law are absolutely hostile to our way of life, and jihad is the primary tool employed by Islam to handle such a clash. It always has been that way since Muhammad (swish) came up with this madman's vision of a religion fourteen centuries ago: in Iran, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Cyprus, Constantinople, Spain, Bosnia, the Caucasus, India, and anywhere else Islam's expansion met with resistance from the native population, the jihad was used as the excuse for murder, rape and subjugation.
