And the court ruling requiring Trump to follow immigration law with regard to those seeking asylum has nothing to do with ‘amnesty’ – that’s a lie.

Those seeking asylum and waiting for a determination of their asylum request are not ‘illegal’ until that determination has been made; those without a legitimate asylum claim are then subject to deportation.

If the current law says that anyone can apply for amnesty, and Trump wants to say they can't unless they come in via a port of entry, then yes, if that is how they want to do it, they need to change the law.
