Should American Liberals Put Social or Economic Policy First for Ukraine?

The Ukrainian fascist takeover of Ukraine is both anti-multiculturalist and anti-capitalist. One side contradicts liberal social policy, but the other supports liberal economic policy.

Which priority should come first for American liberals on deciding whether or not to intervene in Ukraine?

Also, how should American liberals handle a Russian intervention in light of modern history? Should liberals uphold international law in light of the security agreement made in the '90s in exchange for Ukraine's nuclear weapons as well as the general right to self-determination, or should liberals tolerate Russian intervention since the Cold War is over?

Lastly, would Russia's intervention perpetuate a legacy of Putin bullying Obama around, or is Obama just standing his ground and not overreacting to the situation at hand?
