Shock Video: Child Receives Porn-related Search Results from Amazon Echo
“Alexa stop!”

A child attempting to use an Amazon device to search for his favorite song was instead fed raunchy porn terms as suggestions, a viral video shows.

The SFist has the details:

The boy asks Alexa for a song called “Digger Digger,” which may or may not exist, and the best she can come up with was this “Comedy Ringtones Vol. 2” from Spotify, which under the artist name has a series of x-rated keywords instead which include “cock,” “pussy” and “anal dildo” which she begins rattling off until the parents freak out and tell her to stop.

Oh don't worry it's probably just a conspiracy. Get use to it this type of stuff is going to happen all the time as we get deeper into the techie world. Soon they'll just show kids how to do it every step of the way. Oh wait planned parenthood already does that. Trendy's think that is great. They love their kids being sexually indoctrinated.

No kidding, that belongs on the playground.

You know, that is something that I will never allow in my house. Not only is it a bit spooky and could possibly get annoying, but it also gives up a lot of your privacy, and now, apparently, cops can get a warrant for everything your Echo hears.

You considering breaking the law, killing someone maybe? :dunno:
I don't think he can kill anyone they way he would do it.

How fortunate the family happened to be recording it at the time!

IIRC, search engines base part of their search from previous searches (a good reason to clear the cache on family computers!) Maybe daddy was playing with it the night before.

Probable cause. Yes, all child pornographers, murderers and other criminals shouldn't have it around. OTOH, having watched several episodes of the Forensic Files, it wouldn't bother me to have as much traceable evidence as possible around my house should I not survive a home-invasion.

We should all bow to the corporate surveillance state, for safety of course.

Don't you know they are listening and watching you through your computer? Yes, even when you turn it off and unplug it. The capacitors keep it live for up to 30 days. Frankly, I'm surprised you have one in your home.

I hope that the parents are able to get their money back should they try to return it.

God bless you and them and their boy always!!!

Holly

P.S. Thank you for letting me know what not to buy, not that I had planned on buying it in the first place. I am not surprised to learn that the thing may be crap.
