On Friday, news broke that a settlement in principle was reached in the Ashli Babbitt wrongful death lawsuit brought against the US government by the Babbitt family.

The lawsuit extensively details the history of incompetence and multiple revocations of firearm privileges for previous dangerous incidents involving Officer Michael Byrd, the Capitol Police officer who murdered Babbitt in cold blood.

This includes a failure “to meet or complete semiannual firearms qualification requirements,” leaving a “loaded Glock 22—the same firearm he used to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt – in a bathroom in the Capitol Visitor Center,” and a shooting into a moving vehicle stolen by teenagers, where the off-duty cop reportedly struck homes nearby with his bullets.

The wheels of TRUE JUSTICE turn slowly, but thankfully they still turn. All of us with a modicum of common sense knew from the beginning this was murder by an incompetent PANICKING officer Michael Byrd.

There are some wonderfully competent, thoughtful, intelligent, even brilliant judges out there. I've know a few during my lifetime. Then there are the DEI and/or politically/ideologically leftwing brainwashed ones which should all be off the bench forever. So should any rightwing judge who puts ideology or political expediency ahead of a fair and just application of law be off the bench forever.

Why?

Because it will put the J6 riots back in the news going forward into the 2026 mid-terms. Any case civil or criminal is going to be public and it's going to involvle lots and lots of video evidence and testimony about the the riots and how MAGAs attacked Congress.

Lt. Byrds actions have to be measured in the context of what he was facing, what he was hearing over the police radio net, what he was seeing before him. The riotous mob presented a clear and present danger and with breaching the last law enforcment barricade they were a danger of death or serious bodily injury not only to himself, but to members of Congress, their Staff, and civilians in the House Chamber just steps away after breaching the last barricade.



The real story of that day has been shown with video on the attack on the capital. This was not a beer party with a bunch of people looking for the bathroom, it was an attack on Congress.

True patriots see it for what it was.

This is about burying the story so it's never presented in a court of law.

Only one HUGE problem with your scenario, WW...it doesn't fit what actually happened! There was another barricaded door AFTER the door that the protesters were trying to breach! Another door that would have also had to have been breached with armed men on the other side of that door! The last few members of Congress and their staff were being evacuated from the House Chamber as Lt. Byrd suddenly decided that HE needed to shoot an unarmed female at point blank range! He obviously wasn't in danger of death or serious bodily injury from the protesters...they had just begged the Police that had been standing outside the barricaded door to move aside so they wouldn't be hurt...not the actions of a mob! So if he's not protecting members of Congress and his own life wasn't in danger...what justification did he have for assassinating an unarmed female protester without warning?

As for what we saw on video from that day? We were shown what the Democratic majority running that farce allowed us to see! We were sold a narrative by them and that narrative was repeated ad nauseam by the Main Stream Media.
