The last thing they wanted was for this case to see the inside of a courtroom and have the J6 riots all over the news again. They settled the civil suit and there will never be a criminal prosecution.

There were 2 sides that day. The visitors and the cops. Visitors were milling about until the cops fired at them. Naturally when cops fire at visitors, they move out fast. Cops created the problems including killing Ashli Babbitt.

What's striking to me is that every one of the MSM headlines portrays the "Trump Administration" as the adversary of Babbitt. The correct defendant is the Justice Department. The implication is Babbitt sued Trump's team. That was not the case. Trump has been a defender and promoter of Babbitt's legacy, and Babbitt was a a big Trump fan. It was Democrat-controlled Capitol Police who killed Babbitt. This is an intentional orchestrated game being played by the left to denigrate Trump.
All the usual suspects marching in line. Instructed to say the same thing.

“You’re going to see a lot of action on the J6 hostages,” Trump said soon after being inaugurated for his second term. And nearly all of those who were convicted have received pardons for their actions, save for a few Oath Keepers and Proud Boys, whose sentenced were commuted.
But for some who were prosecuted, mere expungement isn’t enough. They want justice in the form of a cash reward: financial settlements from the Trump administration, awarded by the DOJ.
Who knew that showing up to participate in a scheme to steal the 2020 election, orchestrated by Individual 1, would result in Capital Police being beaten by trump's mob. In this twisted country we live in members of the mob may be in line for some cash payments. A reward for doing damage to the capital building in the name of the Criminal-in-Chief would be the ultimate disgrace.

They were falsely charged. Actually, we owe the convicted people more than thanks, we owe them funds to pay for their unjust locking up in prison.
