Contrary to the anti-religion stance of the schools, the media, and the secularists, who claim that their view was that of America's founding, history tells a very different tale.
It ordered the structure of government, and begins "In the name of God..."

On this date in 1620, when it was learned that the Mayflower was landing in New England, and not at the
Hudson River, as specified in their patent, there was great dissention between the Separatists (Pilgrims) and the Strangers. But it was agreed that the only way for the settlement to succeed was if everyone worked together, and that before they landed everyone had to sign a formal and binding agreement. Therefore they hammered out the Mayflower Compact, the first basis for written law in the new world:

"In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord, King James, by the Grace of God, of England, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, e&. Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia; do by these presents, solemnly and mutually in the Presence of God and one of another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation, and Furtherance of the Ends aforesaid; And by Virtue hereof to enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the General good of the Colony; unto which we promise all due submission and obedience. In Witness whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the eleventh of November, in the Reign of our Sovereign Lord, King James of England, France and Ireland, the eighteenth, and of Scotland the fifty-fourth. Anno Domini, 1620."

John Carver was the agreed upon governor, and on the morning of November 11th, 1620,he led the group forty-one men signed the compact. Of the nine who did not sign, some were sailors signed on for one year, some were too sick.

There are those blinded by hatred of religion who deny the facts....including the reference to Jesus Christ in our Constitution.

There is no reference to Jesus Christ in our Constitution outside of “year of our lord” nonsense

The Mayflower Compact is inspirational but the U.S. Constitution is the only document that matters. The Founding Fathers thought freedom of religion was so important that it was written in the first Amendment to the Constitution in the Bill of Rights. It wasn't until the 1940's that a FDR appointed Supreme Court Justice (who was a former KKK member) wrote the majority opinion creating "separation of church and state" which had no basis in the Constitution. Through the years mostly democrats have expanded the fake concept to the point that people are imprisoned and deprived of their livelyhood and municipalities are threatened with bankrupt lawsuits for expressing their religious beliefs.

You certainly can prioritize them, but I wouldn't say " the only document that matters."

"The Mayflower Compact was a set of rules for self-governance established by the English settlers who traveled to the New World on the Mayflower"

The Mayflower landed in and settled Plymouth (which eventually became part of Massachusetts) in 1620

Jamestown was a BRITISH colony and was the FIRST BRITISH colony in the new world.

Plymouth was a RELIGIOUS colony that was the 2nd colony, after Jamestown, to be established. permanently, in the "colonies".

Jamestown was FIRST
The Pilgrims were 2nd!

Now...I Understand that you guys think 2nd place wins...

after all, trump came in 2nd and you believe HE won.

However

The mayflower compact has NOTHING TO DO with the creation of the US or its laws.

NOTHING!

zip!

and only a fkn conservative moron would continue to LIE that it does!

You sure lie a lot.

did you get that from trump or have you always been a deceitful liar?

So the founding of the USA had NOTHING to do with the Mayflower or Plymouth or the Pilgrims.

period.

I have no doubt you shall insist it does.

It was 160 years BEFORE the USA was founded
it was NOT the first colony in the USA

It was just one small colony of religious wackos.

So the founding of the USA had NOTHING to do with the Mayflower or Plymouth or the Pilgrims.

period.

I have no doubt you shall insist it does.

Cus you are an evil liar!

"The mayflower compact has NOTHING TO DO with the creation of the US or its laws.

NOTHING!

zip!"

The terms
NOTHING!

zip!

....are a description of your intellect, knowledge and education.

But I can help:

"Mayflower Compact, document signed on the English ship Mayflower on November 21 [November 11, Old Style], 1620, prior to its landing at Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was the first framework of government written and enacted in the territory that is now the United States of America."
Mayflower Compact | Summary, Background, Significance ...

Now do you see the disadvantage of having quit school after the third grade, mud?

SO why don't you just come out and admit why it is so important to you that everyone agree with you that the US IS a "christian nation";

because you want YOUR bible used as the source of law
you want LAWS against gays and atheists
you want to DENY RIGHTS to anyone who is NOT one of YOUR christian cultists.

Excellent.....you get to choose any cupie doll from the top shelf!

And.....they included a reference to Jesus Christ in the Constitution.

The Mayflower compact doesn't matter at all!

period.

It was 160 years BEFORE the USA was founded
it was NOT the first colony in the USA

It was just one small colony of religious wackos.
The ironic thing is that Puritans seem liberal compared to the politically correct hypocrite left wing doctrine of today.
