Is this guy possessed or what ?

No, I love Bernth. He has tons of great instructional videos
and pleasant to listen to if you don't mind the Austrian accent. (He isn't as annoying as Arnold)

There is a point where it's just annoying overkill on the speed thing. And, none of the speed metal kidz will ever be as expert as Paco De Luca or a dozen other Spanish guitarists.

Still, it would be fun to be able to do it once in a while.

All I see in it is a future of bleeding fingertips and severe arthritis.

all that really matters is can you write a song or not...most guitar wizards cant write a note

Lots of modern-day Yngwie Malmsteens out there. Some are pretty mind-blowing.

It's getting that way with bassists, too. Next-level stuff.
I would love to incorporate a little from all of them...Yngwie's and MAB's ease-of-sweep-picking, Vinnie Moore and Marty Friedman creativity, Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci alternate picking, EVH and Joe Satriani's tone ...
Alex Lifeson's one of my favorites as well ...amazing catalog of great work over 5 decades.
