Look it up. Making sure help is getting to those in need, is not a callous act. Freezing these funds to insure they make it to the intended poor is not a bad move. Unless, one is fine with his/her taxes going straight into the pockets of the wealthy or going to waste--spoiling--on docks and warehouses?

Obviously, you must be aware of government waste and graft, but if a few pennies actually make it to the poor, you pat yourself on the back and feel oh-so-good that you are "helping" the poor. As long as the pennies reach the poor, who cares about waste and graft.

Also, as a Christian, Christ did not teach us to depend on government to take care of the poor. He said we, as individuals need to care for the poor at our own gates and doorways. I know the needs of the poor in my own area, and without letting my left hand know what my right hand is doing, I care for them. And I imagine what I could do with my wasted taxes if I had them to contribute as well.

You like things the way they are. You don't worry about waste and graft, you don't worry about what is making it into wealthy pockets instead of the poor. And you love to set yourself up as judge of those who protest the waste and the graft and say it is we who don't care for the poor.
