Just because of a flag...Just like the flag of Britstain that had slavery and murder on a whim. Stop being such a puss when you want to blame someone else but it is YOU who are the racist prick...Not my flag. Not my country. Fuck the empire.
No. Slavery was abolished there in 1843.Nobody is celebrating Indian slavery either. Do you understand that ?
Nobody is campaigning to bring back symbols of oppression in India.
Only a few shitkickers in the southern states are trying to do that.
That was the Democrats you doofus that lost the war, which is why there is a major push to get rid off the loser statues of failed Democrats who lost that war.the useless trumpcult party will soon introduce a law that expunges the loss in the civil war. THE CONFEDERATES WON.
OOOOOOHHHHH NOOOOOOOOEEESSSSS!!!Senator Calls For Return of Old Mississippi Flag: ‘Our People Died Under That Flag’
Mississippi Sen. Kathy Chism, R-New Albany, said the Legislature should not have retired the Confederate-themed state flag.www.mississippifreepress.org
“That flag, a lot of our people fought and died under that flag,” Sen. Kathy Chism, R-New Albany, said during a political speech at the Belmont Political Rally in Tishomingo County on June 3. A reader shared a link to a video of her speech with the Mississippi Free Press.
The state did not adopt the flag—which featured three red, white and blue bars with a Confederate cross in the upper left-hand corner—until 1894, almost three decades after the end of the Civil War and several years after the end of Reconstruction. White supremacist lawmakers adopted the Confederate-themed flag in place of a prior magnolia flag as they worked to lock Black Mississippians out of politics with a slew of Jim Crow laws.
Amazing that they could fight under a flag 30 years before it was even designed. To be fair to the local GOP they seem to understand the awful optics of this move. It only seems to be a few klan followers who think it is important.
Perhaps they are lucky that they live in such a wealthy and privileged state that gives them time to worry about such nonsense..
Dont mess with ma flag y'all
4 million blacks were enslaved under that flag
Put a match to it. Do us all a favour.
Its not like there is a toxic history there is it ? Why try and resurrect a lost cause ?
Do these state people get paid or is it a voluntary role ?
Many people died under this flag...Why does it still fly?
To this day in Northern Ireland. Time for the Brits to GTFO of Ireland.Yes.....the Trans-Atlantic slave trade happened under that flag....as did colonialism, imperialism........
?We will think about taking you leftists seriously when you tear down this flag.View attachment 798594
Homages to it are in nearly all of the flags of the Dixie states. Here's the problem you guys always miss. The Confederate flag was not destroyed or made illegal immediately after the Civil War, and it flew in one form or another as various state flags for way over a hundred years after the war. This meant it evolved into something more than the original battle flag, and was viewed not as a symbol of slavery, but of life in the South.

Britain dumped slavery in the 1820s. Mississippi fought a war to keep it.
Why do the same assholes who say "it's just a piece of cloth" when burning the stars and stripes, lose their shit when they see a rebel flag?
BTW, that's not a "CSA battle flag" ignoramus....It's the flag of the Tennessee army.
They were traitors AND THE FUCKING LOST YOU RACIST FROG POS.
the useless trumpcult party will soon introduce a law that expunges the loss in the civil war. THE CONFEDERATES WON.
Moron, the republicans ended slavery. The democrats--that's right your racist buddies, were the party of slavery. Ignorant fuck.the useless trumpcult party will soon introduce a law that expunges the loss in the civil war. THE CONFEDERATES WON.
Or to pass laws telling cities what they can do with their monumentsNope. That would be ridiculous like Introducing laws to tear down flags and statues.
Fuck off racist traitor. Die in a fireWow...The knee-jerk emotional incontinence that a piece of cloth brings out is astonishing!
Fuck off racist traitor. And you believe your feelings on the matter supersede the constitution and the bill of rights.
This is why rational people laugh at you.
