SCOTUS has consistently ruled that the 2nd amendment is an individual right. Short of a constitutional amendment, the total banning of privately owned firearms cannot happen.

Because the president doesn't take the guns, congress does. And for those 5 democrat presidents, you had a republican house, senate or both for at least half if not their entire terms.
