Sen. Cotton calls for targeted 'Decoupling' from China

I know this doesn't read well... After all ye were told that TPP was evil. US pulling back left China in charge... US looses it's leverage, US might be the biggest market but it is far from the only one... Generally speaking US is alway going to import goods from China.
What goes on in the media is copycat journalism.

only one talking head needs to research a subject for all the other lazy talking heads to follow him

And for some reason you think that applies to every international student at Harvard? International students may apply for tuition assistance like any other student accepted to Harvard. Far fewer qualify for assistance than domestic students. You still haven't figured out the economics of all this, have you?

I thought you would be happy to hear that the greedy professors were not uniformly overcharging foreigners, including your beloved chinese students

but never mind

my basic point is that mainland chinese students are occupying seats in our universities that should belong to Americans first, and friendly foreign nations second, with mainland chinese students not welcome at all

Professors don't set tuition, dumbass.

Good thing that a short-sighted fear monger like you is so utterly irrelevant to what actually happens in the real world.

US would have a massive control of TPP... Think of power of France, Germany, UK and Italy together in the EU...
we would have very little control since disputes will settled through a foreign court

and that court would have higher standing within the US than our own Supreme Court

International Courts always have higher standing than national courts...

WTO has courts... Any International Agreement would be have disputes rectified in International Courts...

These have proper judges who read agreements and adjudicate was the Agreement broken or not...

NAFTA has a court : Canada seeks to reform NAFTA’s investor-state dispute settlement chapter

So your idea is to sign no agreements with any other countries ever????

Just as an example US could control the amount of Iron Ore shipped to China and thus control China Steel....
Thats lunacy

the US would have no such control

TPP would and due to US position would have control over TPP...

You don't seem informed of how international trade agreements work...

Most of this is done in NAFTA today... Exports have less restraint but it is not out of bounds and Hillary was in Australia to discuss the topic.

NAFTA today doesn't allow Canada to import goods from where ever and dump them into the US market.

The WTO does not have authority within the borders of the US the way Obama's monster TPP court would have

What Mac-Chicken Little-7 fails to appreciate is that one of the best ways to undermine a closed, totalitarian regime is to expose its citizens to other ideas and a better way of life (of course we need to make sure we actually have one when they get here). This is why dictators have historically been so afraid of that very thing.

Chicken Little's ignorance about economics is a separate problem he is struggling with.

Your personal insults are weak and childish

the irrefutable fact is that mainland chinese students take educational opportunities away from American students

It wasn't "shorthand," it was you being stupid again.
You just want to be argumentative because your support for mainland chinese at American universities is weak
The undergrads are coming! The undergrads are coming!

Mac-7 was recently seen putting up these posters around elementary schools across the country.
