Is that the best democrats can come up with? Counter what was done legally and by the book with what is done fraudulently? Nakedly changing the rules in the middle of the game because they don't like the current ones? Not even pretending to abide by the rules in place anymore?

To put three Justices on the court Quid Pro has two choices:

1. Wait for 3 Justices to die, which isn't going to happen before he's out of office next January.
2. Totally de-legitimize the Court by transparently fixing it to ensure he gets the rulings he wants.

That's pretty much all he has to work with, and I expect the usual trained seals to all line up, honking their horns and clapping their flippers in unison, hoping he destroys the Court's legitimacy. Of course, should he go with option 2, you won't have any problem with TRUMP! adding another three of his own next year. You wouldn't be inconsistent, would you? Every president thereafter would just add however many Justices he wants to ensure the Court rubberstamps whatever he wants to do, and democrats won't be able to figure out why their actions boomeranged on them, again.
