How large was the village? How remote--contamination?

How large was the village? How remote--contamination?

The paper presents a map of regions that they studied. I did not see any population estimates for those mapped villages, which encompasses large regions of the country. The paper claims "There were 178,322 individuals in the intervention group and 163,861 individuals in the control group." There is an older version of the study (not published, and I have not compared numbers from) located at The Impact of Community Masking on COVID-19: A Cluster-Randomized Trial in Bangladesh
