I think Chuck's miscalculation is that:

A). He fancies himself Harry Reid. He is not.
B). He's confused Trump with your average Republican. Trump has dealt with some tough hands in his life with tons of his own money and I don't think he will fold on this as a matter of pride and principle and is prepared to let Rome burn to see this through to take a stand here and now against the Democrats. He wants that wall. Chuckie just wants to keep the FISA investigation out of the news.
