You're not understanding that Merrick is treading lightly on account of fear that he will lose the majority of the American people and the backing of the democracy's military support.

If it's accepted that the election was stolen from Trump, then the US military is not secured by government.

If Merrick and government are secured and gain confidence in taking legal action against Trump, it will happen. That situation doesn't yet exist.

Americans need to go into the abyss with their eyes wide open.
