"Antonin Scalia, who died on Saturday, was not the first modern thinker or US Supreme Court justice to articulate the modern conservative agenda that eventually took over the court after decades of being ruled by progressives..."

"His most memorable recent quote saw him taking the Supreme Court majority to task for its legal reasoning on the passport issue.

"He said its interpretation that putting the word 'Jerusalem' on individual passport documents was tantamount to recognition of Israeli claims over the city was a logical 'leap worthy of the Mad Hatter.'”
As if putting the word "Jerusalem" on passports doesn't acknowledge facts on the ground?
israel-palestine_map_19225_24692.jpg

"Overall, Scalia’s judicial philosophy was not identical with Israeli conservatism, but his arguing for it has supported Israeli conservatism and sometimes put Israeli conservatives in a position where they could point to someone who was more conservative than they."

Scalia ‘Mad hatter’ who recreated the US conservative movement

Those maps really show how badly the Arabs have screwed themselves in that area.

Not.

Not sure what that is supposed to be.
Is it proof the Arabs haven't screwed themselves?

No.
It's proof you have.

Scalia ‘Mad hatter’ who recreated the US conservative movement
"Scalia was almost always more concerned about national security than violating individual liberties, such as on whether detainees at Guantanamo Bay or detainees captured while with Taliban forces in Afghanistan have a constitutional right to go to federal court to challenge their continued detention. Justice Scalia warned in a famous dissent that giving the detainees access to judicial review 'will almost certainly cause more Americans to be killed.'

"Here, Israel’s legal establishment is less conservative than Scalia, but also far closer to him in giving weight to national security over civil liberties than in many Western countries."

George, remember that famous case in WWII where the Japanese soldier taken prisoner in the Philippines went to the SCOTUS who ruled that he could be tried in federal court?

Yeah, neither do I...

You ISIS morons make it up as you go...

Yeah right. That's tantamount to putting up a map of the Americas to show European conquest over time and claiming that it shows how the native americans screwed themselves.

Arabs reject state, lose half. Arabs start war, lose, lose more. Rinse, repeat.

Yeah, just like the Americas. Durr.

A pity it is all a lie isn't it, as Israel has not claimed the alleged land as theirs. It is still just occupied for defensive purposes. The 1897 map does not show the rest of Palestine that is now Jordan. The 1947 map does not show Jewish soveriegn land granted to them in 1923. The 1947 map does not show any borders as it is a proposal only that was never agreed on. The 1948/1949 map shows the ceasefire lines and not the borders. The last map shows nothing but a pack of lies put out by islamonazi propagandists like yourself.

nothing "racist" about what he says. Safed is one of the FOUR CITIES holy to jews-------Jerusalem, Tiberias, Hebron, and Safed. Jews are prohibited from setting foot in MECCA AND MEDINA---------Equity is a good idea. You can dish it out but you cannot take it

90 year old guy who watched his friends and relatives murdered in Iraq in a spate of pogroms against jews----in the 1940s--------a casual comment he made about one year before he died---not even a PUBLIC DECLARATION----SEVERAL YEARS AGO---------georgie has been quoting this guy for YEARS. You are REALLY desperate for material----aren't you, Georgie. The comment was not recorded----
in fact, it could be a misquote
