What about not resisting arrest and complying with police instructions. what about stopping for police when you are required to stop your vehicle, and not taking off at a high rate of speed,later stopping and exiting your vehicle and running away. and yes what about living your live within the law. We can make some real progress on this issue if the left and blacks stepped up to the plate and admitted they have some responsibility in this too. There are many black so called roll models who could sit down and have a heart to heart talk with the black community. It's amazing how they just can't see that giving law enforcement crap can't possibly ever end well. If you give that white policeman shit and think he's got you set up to kill you then how can you think fighting with them is going to work?

I am encouraged each time I see Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington express their opinions when asked about being "black" men or "black" actors. The paraphrased reply is, what does black have to do with me being an actor or a man.

I thought the same thing last night during the news report that Serena Williams was retiring. They reported that she was the "first black American to win a Grand Slam in 40 years" I remember when the reports were about "first Americans..." Now it seems that if a black person is cheered for great accomplishment, the fact that they are black is one of the first points made, however if a criminal suspect happens to be black, that fact seems irrelevant in the eyes of the press. Like it isn't important for the public to know the identifying characteristics of a suspect. Quite amusing that these same courtesies are not afforded to any other race.
