Actually, the President does have the authority to enforce Federal laws, and when normal means are not working such as attacks on ICE members, and thus he can use the NG.

When Obama illegally arrested people during "occupy Wall Street" where were the Democrats?

When Obama targeted American citizens for death, refusing any due process, where were Democrats?

When people were protesting to protect their land and clean water where were the Democrats? Hillary was out on the campaign trail condemning them while Jill Stein was right there with them getting herself arrested.

When Obama got caught unconstitutionally spying on all Americans, where were the Democrats?

I will continue to support people over an authoritarian government today, but sadly far too many will again, support their politics over people.
