Russia's MiG-35 Is Almost Done with Flight Testing (But There Is a Problem)

The current iteration of the Mikoyan MiG-35 is not the advanced warplane that India rejected in favor of the French Dassault Rafale in 2011. Rather, the new MiG-35 is a somewhat upgraded land-based version of the MiG-29KR carrier variant of the long-serving Fulcrum. It has no thrust vectoring controls and lacks an active electronically scanned array radar even though Russia has the technology.

During the Cold War, the Soviets had a huge deficit in Rubbers. And theirs weren't up to speed. So they decided to order them from the US. Now, the Russians didn't want to make the US think that they had small yahoos so they ordered them the size of a trash bag. The US, not wishing to be out done, labeled them as Small.

Who needs jet fighters when we have drones & guided missiles?

Drones good when for example the USA bombs the aborigines in the desert, but India has an enemy in the face of Pakistan and only drones & guided missiles will not be enough to protect or attack.

And I would not trust the media about Russian combat aircraft in India, because the Hindus are original trading partners who want to pay as little as possible and get as much as possible, and preferably free of charge

India has already had over 900 russian jet fighters, but of course you see better than Hindus. India always wants not only jet fighters but also technology and this has always been a stumbling block
