He was a true master of his instrument. The cool thing about him was he would change up the beat practically every measure, adding in unique fills that appear only once per song. He apparently would get bored if he played the same beat over and over again. He was awesome!

In fact he came out that year and said he supported the Democratic Party in a Rolling Stone Magazine interview in 2015.

Sorry about that but as he got older he changed his views.
