Trump made no smart moves when it came to the Chinese but at least he made some visible ones. We need to prevent the Chinese from acquiring women they do not have enough. We also need to draw them into the middle east and have them spend their money on shit that can't be fixed among other things. I do agree with Trump bringing the populations attention to them. There are things we can do to China that are brighter than putting tariffs on them. He kinda just screwed us with the tariffs they just bought else where. The best thing we can do is remind Americans the benefit of quality products. Sure they mass produce cheap shit be we use to make quality the consumer just went with immediate gratification of cheap while American products lasted. I think if the American consumer had considered how long quality lasts in the long run quality becomes cheaper.

On the radio they were talking about how the reps SCOTUS lawsuit was not heard. It was for a state that used mail in ballots and it was against their state constitution.

I don't know if I got all the facts right. But I think they said SCOTUS would not hear it because the reps had a year to complain about mail in ballots but did nothing until after the election.

Of course Dems are outraged. I started a topic a couple years ago about dividing the country and having two countries instead of one. The right contributors to my post didn't object to it, but the people on the left were pissed as all hell.

Democrats know that Socialism/ Communism is a failure. If we did divide the country, the Democrat side would be bankrupt in a matter of a few short years. Most of the businesses would be taxed to death and move to the Republican side. Half or more of their population wouldn't be working and living off the government. Open borders (assuming they'd get the west side of our country) would flood their side bringing in poverty, crime and diseases. Speaking of crime, the Democrat side would be nothing but crime with an extremely weak police force and unarmed citizens. In other words, Democrat policies are failures, and Democrats could never survive without us Republicans to keep things in order.

After we build a huge Trump wall to keep Democrats out, our side would have a flourishing economy because of all the businesses. We would have real jails again, not rehabilitation centers that make it comfy for prisoners. They would be forced into labor instead of getting fat on taxpayer food sleeping in their cot half of the day. Citizens would be armed, and it would be legal to use deadly force on anybody stealing or damaging your property. Less stupid laws means more freedom. You would be able to drive without a seatbelt, have a cigarette or cigar in bars and restaurants if you want, much less crime and social programs means much less taxation. It would be fantastic......at least for us.

Americans don't care about quality anymore and haven't since the recession under Reagan. That's when the consumer attitude changed. Manufacturers cater to their customers desires.

Since that time and thanks to more technology and convenience, we have way more things to buy today than 40 years ago. We have to make our dollars stretch further. I grew up in the 60's and 70's. We had a television with rabbit ears, a stereo with an 8-track player, one car like most families had, one landline telephone, and we ate out maybe two or three times a year, about the same amount of times we went to a drive-in or movie theater.

My father laughs about the changing times. He said he pays more for his cell phone bill today than he did on the house we grew up in that he built.

Ok, but how do you propose doing that, specifically? What would be the steps for defining those people, identifying the people who fit that definition, and then excising them from where they currently live? And what territory would become theirs? And how would they be forced to move to this territory, or stay in it? I frequently hear people saying things like this, or civil war, or secession, but nobody ever goes into specifically how those things would occur, logistically.

My idea is we have a line dividing the country from north to south with equal square mileage. The Democrats get the west side of the country and the Republicans the east side. We have a land tradeoff on properties. If you have to move to the other side, you get the same kind of property on your new side that you had on the old side. We would use voting records to show what party you belong to, thus what side of the country you have to live in. For people who didn't vote, they would have to declare themselves as a Republican or Democrat. Independents would have to choose a side.

There would be no vastly different parties. On the Republican side, we would have conservatives and establishments. On the Democrat side, liberal, Socialist or Communist.

Well what is the left voting on? A guy associated with an FBI investigation that has dementia and an agenda to destroy this country. He spent nearly a half-century in federal government and accomplished nothing in all that time. Higher taxes means less jobs, much higher fuel costs means less disposable income in circulation, higher capital gains taxes means less investments, higher minimum wage means chasing jobs out of the country, companies investing in more automation to replace humans, more outsourcing, and inflation like we haven't seen in decades.
