Why are Democrat states and cities losing population

Democrats are stupid enough to think that they can run away from themselves.
People aren't dumb.
Eventually they realize that blue states are screwing them and they leave.
Most Democrat cities are shit holes: crime, homelessness, literally shit on the sidewalks, needles, high taxes, no parking spots, congestion, traffic ... who the hell wants to live in a place like that?

I lived all over that area from 75-85, then from 97-2001.

Went back a couple years ago, took my younger son to do the DC tourist thing and see RATM at MCI. The whole area is bananas congested now. The home my parents built for $75,000 on an acre in Great Falls is now $1.4 million, 😳😳😳

Yeah, most of the old homes sitting on one acre had the lot either cut-up into four .25 acre lots or two .50 acre lots with McMansions sitting on them.

My old prison has long been torn down and it's mostly an interchange onto Rt. 29 now.

I had a nice condo on the 5th hole of the gold course in Reston for a couple years, Should have held onto it. Right near South Lakes.

Again, it is just completely different now. Still quite a few people were still in my old neighborhood.

I cannot imagine having to commute via the beltway these days.

The cherry on top of everything was renaming the Redskins.

Fun fact, Joey Theismann was on my soccer team one year and Joe would go to the games. Kinda cool.

Anywhooo, not a chance in hell I would live there now.

We can see what democrats opened the border and invited illegals to their cities. They are intended to replace populations loss resulting in less workers and tax revenues.

Heavily Democratic cities and counties have experienced significant population declines, with a net loss of 3.7 million residents between 2020 and 2023, often shifting to suburban, Republican-leaning areas. Key factors driving this trend include high costs of living, remote work flexibility, public safety concerns, and the search for affordable housing.

Key Trends and Data
  • Major Population Shifts: From 2020 to 2023, Democratic-led counties experienced a net loss of 3.7 million people, while Republican counties gained 3.7 million.
  • Shrinking States: Major Democratic-leaning states, particularly California, New York, and Illinois, have seen notable population declines.
  • Fastest Shrinking Cities: Cities like St. Louis experienced rapid declines, losing over 21,000 residents between 2020 and 2024.
  • Suburban Growth: People are moving to suburbs, often in swing states like Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, which are becoming more politically competitive.

Factors Driving the Exodus
  • Cost of Living: High housing costs and taxes in urban areas are driving residents away.
  • Remote Work: The rise in remote work has allowed residents to leave crowded cities for less expensive locations.
  • Quality of Life: Concerns over crime and homelessness in cities have motivated residents to move to places perceived as safer and less crowded.
  • Policy Differences: High energy prices and, in some cases, progressive policy environments are cited as factors for leaving states like California and Washington.

While overall national population growth remains low, the trend shows a clear migration from large Democratic urban centers towards smaller, often more conservative areas.

You'd think the dumbass blue states would realize this. But, instead of fixing the problem, their solution is to try turning the entire country into one big blue state.

Blue states provide good schools and public services
<~~~~~~~~~~>
Blue states like Oregon have suspended graduation requirements that mandate students demonstrate basic skills in reading, writing, and math, allowing students to graduate without proving proficiency in these areas. This decision has been criticized for potentially lowering educational standards.
Equity Concerns: Education officials argue that these requirements disproportionately affect marginalized students, including students of color and those with disabilities.
The decision to suspend these requirements raises questions about the long-term impact on student preparedness and overall educational quality in blue states. Critics fear that without basic competency standards; students may lack essential skills needed for higher education and the workforce.

Actually, I don't understand leftists at all. They're far too crazy to understand.
Think back to the 60s when there were more bible-thumping religious zealots screaming that Satan put Dinosaur bones on the Earth to fool us all.

Same thing, but with different objectives.

Actually, now that you mention it, decades ago I used to be a Democrat and couldn't stand the right's rightous attitude and wanting to cram religion down everyone's throats. Now things have indeed flip flopped and I am a right leaning independent who can't stand the left's holier than though rightous attitude, trying to cram their moral values down everyone's throats.

Today's Democrat party is an authoritarian, top-down organization that concentrates power in the hands of globalist elites who represent anything BUT liberal values.
Never heard of the Democrat party

And yet these phucktards vote blue.

I see it in Florida ALL THE TIME.

WE HAVE SO MANY STUPID DICKHEADS DOWN HERE WHO MOVED AWAY FROM PLACES LIKE CONNECTICUT AND JERSEY AND NY BECAUSE OF THE COST OF LIVING AND CONTINUE TO VOTE DEM. 😂🙄🤷‍♂️

They do not associate lefty policies with high cost of living. It is BIZARRE.
You can't move your way out of being dumb.

The population exodus from leftist California is worse than earlier thought.
