Ron Paul On Paris Attack: Bad Foreign Policy “Invites Retaliation”

When the government sticks it's nose into the affairs of personal lives and business matters, things go very, very badly and the result is an even bigger mess than what was there before.

The same ends up being true when the government sticks its nose into the internal affairs of other countries.

I suppose you call the Free Zones in Europe sticking your nose in other countries affairs ... you're an idiot.

No, you're an idiot. You're not making any damned sense. What the hell does that have to do with anything?

see, I told you you're an idiot.

Where are your Freedom Fries now, ya corny dipshits?
I was thinking the exact same thing before I read your post: all these posters here who ridicule French on a daily basis, now all of a sudden have their panties in a knot over some whacked French cartoonists

What exactly does an attack in Paris have to do with the US?
Precisely this:

He's usually Spot-On. He definitely is on this one. Most Americans and Western Europeans truly believe they can be all around the world killing & maiming, while suffering no consequences. But that's just not the reality. The reality is, you do reap what you sow. The U.S., Great Britain, and France are the most meddlesome nations on earth. They're everywhere around the world creating turmoil.

The Peoples' of those nations should prepare for more retaliation. They certainly shouldn't be surprised when it happens. Until we adopt a humble non-intervention foreign policy, we will be at risk. That's just the way it is.

Yeah. Ron Paul is a moron. Why would anybody think that decades of meddling in Middle East affairs would lead to any backlash? Most countries love it when you use the CIA to stage coups, overthrow democratically elected leaders, install dictators in their place, then ravage their country to replace that dictator years later.

They hate us because of our freedoms. Nothing to do with all of that other stuff.

You think these French satirists were involved in coups and overthrew democratically elected leaders??

You make Penelope sound downright sensible by comparison.

Should the US have intervened in Kosovo? How about Libya? Where exactly should we see pain and suffering and look the other way?

Freedumb toast sounds pretty good.

After the French refused to back our claim that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, and Bush supporters went all anti-Frenchy, the funniest was their boycott of French's yellow mustard. French's is actually named after a Brit with the last name of French.

The UN is still in Kosovo with NATO troops. Other than the ouster of Milosovic, nothing fundamental has been solved. As soon as NATO leaves, a new Milosovic will emerge. Those people still hate each other. And they're growing impatient with the crappy job NATO is doing.

“Eulex came here to build law and order and they got domesticated,” said Ilir Deda, a Vetevendosje MP.

“It is incredible they managed to fail in a society that was so pro-western, was so pro-democracy. But corruption has grown exponentially under the eye of Eulex. We have made so many steps backwards.”

In Libya, suffering increased after Gaddafi was killed. People instantly started killing racial minorities. It's all gang wars there now. At least if you kissed Gaddafi's ring you got free education and healthcare. Libya is a dumpster fire today.

We can't solve other people's problems. We go in, spend hella money, and once we leave it's back to square one. Foreign solutions aren't sustainable.

Ron Paul, so right on so many things but quite the loon on some many other.

Former Republican presidential candidate and congressman Ron Paul says bad foreign policy is to blame for the Paris terrorist attack on the satirical newspaperCharlie Hebdo that left at least 12 dead and 11 wounded.

“Well, you know, partially what the Secretary of State said is true — this is pretty obscene, when it comes to violence, and libertarians are pretty annoyed by anybody who initiates violence,” said Paul on NewsMaxTV’s Steve Malzberg ShowWednesday. “This is pretty bad.”

Paul said the context for the attack, however, was France’s involvement in the Middle East.

And the chickens don't like the roasting part, only the partying and the pecking.

And yet the attack happened in France, go figure.

Me thinks it is time to decide, are we on the right side or the wrong side? Is there a war on terror or not and are we willing to fight that war?

Not yet.

Just come home. Stop bombing and killing all over the world. You do reap what you sow. American and Western European Citizens should expect more retaliation. It's the logical result of endless meddling. And when those inevitable attacks do happen, those same Citizens should also expect their Governments to take more of their rights away. It's how you get Patriot Acts and NDAA's.

Aggressive Foreign Intervention results in a vicious circle of violence and misery. It is time for us to come home. Hopefully, more Americans will begin to demand it.

Ha, just saw a Big Brother wingnut on Fox News ranting about needing more Patriot Acts/NDAA's, and more NSA spying on Citizens. Oh boy, what a mess. End the endless meddling around the world.

The more retaliation, the more Patriot Acts/NDAA's and NSA spying Government will impose on the People. It's a matter of preserving Freedom & Liberty at this point. Time to come home.
