Romney wins censure vote

So what does this mean ? It suggests that some party members are nervous about the path the Gop seems to be on.
It means that the dysfunctional personality cult of diehard Trumpers and traditional Republicans will be engaging in their virtual wedgie-fest for the foreseeable future.

Enjoy.
Its a pretty simple lesson to take from this. Trump cant win unless he can win round the "normal" faction of the party. His support is not universal as President Joe has just shown.
The "simple lesson" to take from this is that Trump found the winning formula, "populism plus America First" wins, even if the messenger is damaged. That said, 2024 will have a GOP primary, and Trump will need to get past a lot of well qualified, less damaged, candidates, like:
Mike Pence
Ted Cruz
Mike Pompeo
Nikki Haley
Tom Cotton
Kristi Noem
Jim Jordan
Ron Desantis
Dan Crenshaw
Trump??

Trump's 1/6 stunt makes him "damaged goods", but his winning formula lives on.
We'll see in 2022 how badly damaged the democrat brand is....stay tuned....

Okay BUT heed my words and heed them well. You cannot beat the Democrats by playing nice. They attack you like a pack of plague rats using every dirty trick in the book. If you think you can beat them then govern by being nice to them this is beyond naïve. So many criticized Trump for fighting fire with fire but the alternative is getting Dem raped.

If the split vote is any indication then it seems pretty clear that Trump cant win. Or have I missed something here ? He must have the support of all the party, at least, to have a shot of being President.

He didn’t have all of the GOP backing in 2016, the GOP just got behind him because they had no choice. I was shocked the GOP came up with Trump as the candidate. i don’t think he can win in 2024 but didn’t think he could win in 2016.

Since Clinton, American Presidential candidates have been terrible. Bush, Gore, Kerry, Obama, McCain, Romney, Clinton, Trump and Biden, if this is America’s best, it shows we are heading in the wrong direction.

So what does this mean ? It suggests that some party members are nervous about the path the Gop seems to be on.
Yes. I suspect there's a decent amount of Republicans who won't admit it, but who are trying to gently tug it back from this group madness into which it has fallen.

Piece by piece, I guess.
Republicans that helped enable the massive fraud that took place are on their way out. Romney will lose his next primary.

What are you asking Tommy ?

Besides your same stupid shallow thinking questions ?

Not every senator faces such a vote. And he barely survived it.

Did you see where the democrats in AZ went after Krysten Sinema because she was to cozy with the GOP ?

Do we take the same thing from that ?

You are a moron.

So what does this mean ? It suggests that some party members are nervous about the path the Gop seems to be on.

No. This means that too many of these folks were scared to do what is RIGHT because it may not look good for them to do it.

Romney needs to be far more than Censured. He needs to be recalled and then permanently removed from the Republican Party.

^^^ party over country ^^^
Says the antirights fascist who supports the democrat party fascist

Isn't it interesting that during the 8 years Obummar was in, the GOP put up two mega-RINOs against him: Mitt the Mope and Tumor-Boy McCain, the two people who, upon a non-GOP centrist getting in over the likes of Jeb, et al., they both launched more of an opposition against Trump than they ever have the DNC itself. :smoke:

Agree about "fire with fire", but 1/6 crossed the line. The new state election laws like GAs & FLs is all we need to keep the MFs from cheating again.

But he didnt find the "winning formula". He just got his arse kicked. He needs to turn those 8m voters into voting for him and for that he needs some policies.

The point of his failure in this censure vote is that he seems to be losing support not gaining it. And thats not a recipe for success.

What he really needs is for Joe to really screw up - but that doesnt look like happening anytime soon.

We have opposing views on everything.
1. Trump won in 2016 using the populist and America First policies
2. Trump got way more votes in 2020, and the GOP did not lose even one House seat. The dems won the senate only because the GOP ran Doug Collins against Kelly Loeffler splitting the GOP vote.
3. Trump lost in 2020 by 43,000 votes using the Electoral College numbers. The 8m votes is irrelevant because we don't use the popular vote. Considering the MSMs constant 95% negative coverage of Trump, and giving the crooked Bidens a pass on the laptop and Bobulinski easily cost Trump the election, not to mention the voting irregularities. So there was no "arse kicking", only voter fraud and MSM propaganda favoring the oligarchs.
4. What failure in a censure vote? Mittens got the message, that's a win and a warning to other never-Trumpers.
5. Everything Joe touches turns to shit, always has. Joe has never been right about anything, just ask DefSec Gates. The US is headed in the wrong direction.
6. We'll see in 2022 and 2024 who's right, I think its me.

Yeah that guy. Remember all the horrible things you said about him in 12.......lolololol

He's a racist...He's this....lol

Your side is just using him. They could care less if he croaked. And you'd stab him in the back tomorrow when necessary

Romney has proven to be the exception rather than the rule.

Most elected officials who voted against Trump were censured...

& liz cheney - of all people...
Of all people, indeed. Just like the way they have sold their souls to Trump. Of all people.

I think this shows us, in all seriousness, the intensity of anger, frustration and paranoia that have been cultivated and nurtured in that party over the last few decades. It's all coming out now.

obama - that damn uppity had the gall to take the keys to the WH. that was the straw that broke the white supreeeeemistists' back. & donny knew how to exploit that & the cult was born.
