In the video he says he would go up to 20,000ft and dive straight down at Mach 1 on the Jap carrier. Incredible. The Dauntless was tough as nails to be able to pull out of a dive with that much stress.

Pablum. A Dauntless dove at <300MPH...actually had flaps to slow it down in a bombing run!
