Right-Wing Challenge: Fair Income Tax For The Top 50% vs Bottom 50%

That argument makes no sense. The poor need financial help, the wealthy do not.
Dodge.

Try again.

Would it punish the poor to charge them a higher rate? That's a simple yes or no questions. Are you smart enough to provide an answer?

IMHO "fair" is for the higher incomes to pay a higher tax rate and for the low incomes to pay a lower tax rate.
We are dealing in reality, while you are dealing in your feelz.

Nobody cares what your OPINION of fair is.

Yes it would "punish" the poor to pay a higher tax rate. Much more than it would "punish" the wealthy.

No stupid, the definition says equitable means EQUAL.
Fair is treating everyone the same too.
You can't win this one on your lies, Dumbass.

So you admit the people paying a higher rate are being punished.

Got it.

Fair treatment definition Fair treatment means that no group of people, including a racial, ethnic, or a socioeconomic group, should bear a disproportionate share of the negative environmental consequences resulting from industrial, municipal, and commercial operations or the execution of federal, state, local, and tribal programs and policies.

Musk wrote a tax check for a single year for $12 BILLION. let me know when your working poor guy ponies up that much to run the govt, Dipsqueeze.
He recieves $6.3bn is Government money each year anyway..

Rich people pay more for society because they get more from society...
If Elon Musk wants to go live in Somalia and pay no taxes, he knows where the airport is...

Seriously, any of these multibillionaires can do that... If they do it, we reserve the right to tax them for doing business in our country too...

Got it... No of these guys are leaving, ever think why?

Here's the one I already posted, Short Bus.

equitable

adjective

/ˈekwɪtəbl/

/ˈekwɪtəbl/
(formal)
  1. fair and reasonable; treating everyone in an equal way
Well if you are so much about equitable... Then everyone should be paid the same amount for each hour of work...

The whole economic framework we have today is man made and it has issues... Nostra thinks the system is flawless, like it was handed down to us from God...

We have a system that values stockbrokers ten times more valuable to society than a Police Officer, Military or Fireman... Think about that, we thank them for their service but pay them shit..

Many of those you envy for making too much money quietly provide money to many causes.
And that is great for a lot of them... Some quietly don't as well...

I don't get why so many Americans will pound sand for uber rich people... The system of how re-numerate people is not perfect, it is the best we have, taxes is one of the ways we try and correct the system...
Please remember that these people are the ones that own the Mass Media, they are the ones who feed the information into the system...

Please note that Europe looks at what US doing and watching them decend... They see how the uber rich especially is robbing from the cookie jar and taking away from the next generation especially...
They even struggle to see why the rich want any more... They are destroying the society they are living in and passing to there children for money they can't spend today anyway...

I'm not confused. I think Elon Musk can afford to pay a higher tax rate than someone near the poverty level.
The core concept of charging people more because they can afford it is sinister as all hell on it’s face. There’s nothing fair, moral or right about that.

I’d be for a flat tax rate if they eliminated every single deduction and loophole.

Everyone pays a certain percentage of their taxes. Period. No exceptions whatsoever
I’m fine with that too. If we are going to tax income that’s the only fair way to do it
