The American Revolution allowed Human Rights to really take hold, however looking at those Human Rights and you see that, well, Black people didn't have them, women didn't have them so much, Native Americans didn't have them.

But going along history and you must also take into account that the Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights paved the way for the US Bill of Rights. So which is more important? Without the former, the latter wouldn't have happened.

So no Magna Carta, no English Bill of Rights, no US Bill of Rights, no Martin Luther King getting more equality for black people.
