A lifelong NE coast resident, I too am changing my West Coast retirement plan and considering the Carolinas. My San Fran daughter and her hubby are also considering the Carolinas meaning I'll be close to my grannies. Life is soooo good.

I've spent time in the Carolinas and I've spent time in California. The Carolinas are WAY cheaper, have nice beaches and the people are a million times nicer.
