Republican obstructionism isn't about Obama and hasn't been for a while now.

So the obvious question is, "Obama won a second term. Why not work with him like the clear majority of Americans want?"

We know why, even though Republicans won't come right out and say it. The GOP is teaching this country a "lesson". If you elect a president of color, we will sink the country before letting this president succeed. The problem is that Obama has been more successful than they could "stop".

Look at Clinton. They tried to sink him with Whitewater. But everyone understood that ex presidents get rich with speaking fees and books. And the Clinton's have made over a hundred million dollars. They didn't ever need some kickback money. How stupid do Republicans think Americans are? The short answer? Plenty stupid. They had to settle for a blowjob and still, Clinton is one of the most popular ex presidents in history.

Bush made a hundred grand as a motivational speaker and he was like 5th on the ticket. Pathetic.

Obama will make three times what Clinton made. This is why Republicans are so desperate to tie him to some kind of scandal. Once he is no longer president and free to speak out what he actually thinks, he will be MORE devastating to Republicans than Clinton.

Republicans make fun of Obama as a "community organizer" and now he has been recognized as one of the greatest "organizers" in American history. Imagine how effective he will be when he is able to do that full time.

Yet, this has moved way, way beyond just "sink Obama". I can't wait. It's going to be really something.

Lol...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

why or why won't they work with Obama since he WON and was sent to us from the Heavens above?...............
Democrat bent over backwards for Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh when he was President...

Liberals never did understand what a clear majority of American want. Liberals believe that a clear majority of Americans want obamacare; want amnesty; want to repeal self defense laws; want legalization of same sex marriage; want legalization of marijuana; want unlimited abortion on demand and want higher taxes.

we've really seen one thing proven with Obama's election

Liberalism is a mental disorder..

they just sweep eight years of Bush out of their minds and how Democrats blocked, ridiculed, cheered their own obscurations and expect everyone else should too..but they do remember him when they want to BLAME HIM for everything and hold Obama to NOTHING

amazing

A clear majority of Americans do not want far right reactionary or libertarian principles running this country.

A clear majority of Americans want the Republican Party to reach out honestly to women, immigrants, and Hispanics.

A clear majority of Americans want the defense budget cut dramatically.

A clear majority of Americans want social entitlements cleared up and made solvent.

Liberals have no idea what a clear majority of Americans want. That's why they have people like Meloweese Richardson working for them.

Although, a majority of Americans might want a dramatic cut in defense, if it means that obama's America would not be able to defend itself against a better people who would institute a regime change.

Republicans HAVE to look beyond Obama. He won reelection, what else can they do?

So the thread topic seems sort of obvious to me. Is there an alternative??

A "clear" majority of americans didnt even vote. not for Obama or for Romney. They voted no one. So the question is based on a false premise.

I certainly didn't vote for either: they want me to play the game Democracy, they have to offer normal and respectable people to vote for, that's how that works.

If they want to put up weirdo Mormons or socialist Muslim blacks from Chicago, hey, they don't need me in this game.

Wrong. You have delusions of granduer where a "clear majority" of Americans want what you think they want. Which isn't shocking coming from someone as completely off the rocker as you, Fake.

I guess Jakie thinks it took a high information Amercian for that post of his...

good grief

Wrong. You have delusions of granduer where a "clear majority" of Americans want what you think they want.

Give us the clear majority of numbers on

"A clear majority of Americans do . . . want far right reactionary or libertarian principles running this country".

that a "clear majority of Americans [don't] want the Republican Party to reach out honestly to women, immigrants, and Hispanics".

"A clear majority of Americans [don't] want the defense budget cut dramatically."

"A clear majority of Americans [don't] want social entitlements cleared up and made solvent."

Many who believe in reactionary and or libertarian principles are mentally ill.

I'm not proving negatives, dullard. You can insult all you want, but your built-in logical fallacy reactions don't lend you much room to stand while you do it. Neither does insisting you know what a "clear majority" of Americans want. Clearly, you believe you know more than you do. Hence the delusions you suffer from, Fake.

You are a negative irrelevance in American reactionary politics, as is Ernie S. and the other dullards.

You are in the minuscule number.

You have fail, son.

Yes, the two big lines were that:

- opposition is patriotic
- the majority is supposed to share power

Things they never said when they were in power before, and things they never said now that they are in power again.
