The Trump administration is using the last weeks of the campaign to soften up the country for a repudiation of democracy itself. This project will take some doing. Getting rid of checks on presidential power in the form of inspectors general, congressional committees, special counsels, and nonpartisan judges might drive pundits and experts crazy, but such moves don’t hit home for many citizens. The post-Watergate norms established to preserve the Justice Department’s integrity are not widely understood. But voting is something else. Your vote is your most tangible connection to the idea of democratic government. It’s the only form of political power most Americans possess. It’s proof that government of, by, and for the people hasn’t yet perished from the Earth. Your vote is personal. For a president to throw it out would be an audacious undertaking.
Trump keeps promising to try. Every time he talks about “massive fraud” and sending the election to a Supreme Court with a conservative majority, he’s preparing you to have your vote taken away—to make that shocking prospect a little more normal, even inevitable. Each new controversy, each norm broken, each authoritarian pose makes Trump’s intention to nullify the election results clear.
Listen very closely Mr. Linux. A very large number of Americans—all of them good, upstanding, tax paying, commie hating, Christians—are already on board with an authoritarian incarnation of Donald Trump. Whether or not that surprises you matters not to me or anyone else still moderately sane. However, we think you should at least know why we are good with a King Trump I, why we fear a King Trump not in the least.
Because the now radicalized atheist, sadist, Satanic democratic party has driven our American civilization to the brink of
the abyss; the abyss where nations turn into the dust of history. You radical leftists have mercilessly attacked our history, our traditions, our God given and guaranteed rights, our culture, our race and our history. Not least of all, you have relentlessly attacked the minds and bodies of our children; that was a monolithic mistake—a mistake of epochal proportions.
You have stretched beyond the point of breaking the acceptable bounds of human tolerance and you keep on stretching it. So don't be shocked, don't be surprised and don't stand around with your peckers in your hands and thumbs in your mouths when the authoritarian (and righteous) smackdown crushes your party, your ideology and any future hope of its existence—ever again in human history yet to come.
You psycho-circus clowns have brought what's incoming down onto your own heads. Sure, many innocent Americans will be caught up in the smackdown. You have only yourselves to blame. Then again, we're at that point in the historical cycle of civilization when the people, thoroughly disgusted by what radical movements have visited upon their daily lives, pray night and day for someone to rise up and crush the freaks. Enjoy the coming storm.
