Republican senators block extension to ACA subsidies

Like the fire in California that took out an entire neighborhood? Because they didn't do forest management or keep water in the reservoirs? Yes liberalism is a mental disease.
Oh goody, a red herring. That'll work.

I do. And Inp
I do. By paying taxes. And I do so for a total price that's fifty percent less than Americans pay. And despite this the "bills" I pay give me a better healthcare system you are likely to enjoy.

See I'm Belgian, my wife's American and I have experience with both Universal healthcare and your system both pre-and post Obamacare. Experience that has convinced both me and my wife that it doesn't really matter in the end how bills are paid, be it by taxes or paying out of pocket. What matters is what's cheaper.

As long as you don't need new drugs, new technology or quick service, government healthcare is awesome!

Today Republicans blocked the extension of subsidies to help people pay for health care premiums.

The party with majorities in every branch of government continues to fight against affordability:

How are trillion dollar subsidies "Affordable"?

It isn't the Republicans' job on this. The Democrats passed O'care without a single Republican vote.

They are the ones who need to come up with a solution that can earn Republican votes and the President's signature.
Tell us how that works out in the Midterms.

Well they are definitely going to tank the economy next year. $400 more a month in insurance means $400 less a month spend on goods and services.
If the economy collapses every time insurance goes up, we’d have had the apocalypse about ten times by now.

Unfortunately, when the federal government subsidizes both the patients and the carriers, it doesn't make anything more affordable and only drives up prices. Not to mention that spending money we don't have also leads to inflation.
The best way to fight for affordability is to keep the federal government as far away from it as possible.

Nothing is stopping you from asking your state to provide better healthcare options.
If you are dissatisfied with the results you are getting from Washington DC, then petition your State Representatives to provide you with the healthcare options you desire.

If that cannot provide you with what you are looking for, then try harder to convince your neighbors to pay for your healthcare.

I blame the guy who crammed it through without a single Republican vote. Obama and asshole Dem trash OWN Obamacare forever so SUCK IT!

Exactly right.

When other programs like the original Medicare bill in the 1960's, and Social Security in the 1930's were passed, they were passed in a Bipartisan manner.

That gave BOTH political parties ownership of the programs and a commitment to make them successful.

B. Hussein O sabotaged his eponymous medical scheme right at the start by refusing to compromise at all, and insisting it be passed without a single Republican vote.

Obamacare was nothing but a giant vote buying scheme. That's why the GOP healthcare bill that addressed every major health insurance concern in only 18 pages was ignored. Instead we got nearly 3,000 pages of Dem money scam/vote buying garbage shoved down our throats. A bill so bad Dems had to threaten and bribe their own members to vote for it. A bill so bad Democrats got obliterated in 2010 in the biggest loss they suffered in nearly 100 years.

Well now they own the turd.

My service is quicker then yours in most cases. Including top notch hospitals.

For instance. When I go to the pharmacy I simply get my medicine. There's no phone call to an insurance company required.

Everybody has a GP, so no ER's for a cold. No opioid crisis. Nobody asking for a credit card or requiring the filling out of about a phone book worths of form when I require hospitalization.

As for new drugs. Do you think that new drugs are unavailable here?

I'll give you an example. A friend of my wife's had a lapband surgery a few years ago. Including visits to dietitians, psychologist, and doctors all required to get it insured the process took a year and a half.

My sister had a gastric bypass. From the GP prescribing it to having the surgery it took 2 months. All the doctors including that dietitian and psychologist that is required here too, were scheduled in one day.

The simple fact is that our system requires less bureaucracy and because the system is not geared to maximizing profits, it's cheaper and generally faster.

We got the Affordable Care Act, because people keep asking the federal government to do a job it was never intended to do.
We get 3000 pages of crap because the American people surrender their power to the assclowns in Washington DC.
We get corruption and vote buying schemes because we put a limitless National Treasury on the table.

If you are pissed off about the piss poor results you keep getting from Washington DC, when are you ever going to stop asking them to do shit they never get right, and crap that does little more than serve their establishment goals on both sides of the aisle?

As opposed to the system prior to Obamacare? That was preferable?
