How the media, can remain un-biased, with the links i provide, is impossible, and I dont trust them anyway, I see their biases come out when they discuss issues, or basically when they open their mouth. Dont get me wrong, their are good journalists, but they are few and far between/not the majority.

88% of the press is against the vietnam war, do you think, they are going to remain UN-Biased in their reporting?. NO, they are human, they will put in whatever helps convince americans to be against it.

Just look at kpbs/npr.

They didnt air the good muslims vs bad muslims on tv. Why?. Political correctness/offending c.a.i.r.

But, heck, the documentary that goes after bush and probably offends more then the good muslims vs bad muslims perfect.

And lets not forget ken burns documentary on kpbs, he had to have 10 minutes added because the latinos were whining and complaining. Thank you political correctness. And while were at it, i want scottish, irish, german, jewish, atheist, and lets not forget wiccan-american represented KEN!. your new film will be 10 hours , instead of the 7 it was, what did we forget the mixed race, gay, transgendered americans. Hey, we have to be equal, i mean politically correct dont we?. What about deaf americans, dont forget them ! (sarcam)

And keith olbermann, oh those guys talking about jihad, their idiots, yeah, keith, their all idiots until they succeed arent they. Tell me genius olbermann. How many brains does it take to put on a belt, and hit a button, or better yet, put on the bomb belt, and someone else hit the button for you.

The existence of liberal media bias is beyond dispute. Arguing that the media has a conservative bias qualifies you for the debate death penalty... it's all well and good to be provocative, but don't be a bleeping idiot.

If you want to say "liberal media bias is a good thing," well, that's different... I say, go for it.

But don't say it's not there.

I'm reminded of Katha Pollitt's take on the abortion debates. She is a hardcore leftwinger and supporter of abortion. But she admits: yes, an abortion is the taking of a life. Then she says, "And here's why that's OK..." Now that's at least HONEST. Most abortion supporters won't even admit the truth.

I have just three simple points:

Just as there are web sites and books that supposedly provide evidence that there is a pro-left bias in the general media, there are many web sites and books that provide evidence that there is a pro-right bias in the general media.

The issue is practically all relative. It depends on where you stand on the political spectrum. If you lean to the right then even objective balanced reports will look like they have a left-wing bias.

Generally, people will find what they look for. It is a self-serving spiral phenomenon. If you think that the media has a left-leaning bias, then you will more easily find / notice examples that confirm your prejudice. You are also less likely to notice or pay attention to news items that run contrary to your bias.
