1.Terms of recrimination come and go. Once upon a time, probably due to the end of WWII, the attack-words were “you Fascist, you!!”

The term can even be extended to any dictatorship that has become unfashionable among intellectuals. [working-class Americans call it "Communism." It has gotten to the point where it presages both a dangerous threat, and, a laugh-line:

But….who gets this huge round of largesse?

Who gets paid?
Ironically it was Republicans that first proposed reparations and Democrats that vetoed them.

I think we've been paying reparations for decades in the form of Affirmative Action, employment Inclusion Goals diversity targets, etc. I think these programs are fair and generally popular. If you're talking about cash, forget it, it will never happen.

There is no line item veto in voting.

That means you'll vote for it, just as you vote for this:

The bad news is that when NYers, NJ, Conners, leave for NC, Va, Fla........they take the disease with them, vote for the same darn policies that drove 'em out of the Northeast.

Really? By what measure has it been "totally destroyed"? I live here so I have some knowledge of the subject. Just because we're no longer a Red state doesn't mean we're 'destroyed' by any measure.

So my idea is, let's take money from people who were never slave owners, were not in the family of any slave owners, who many immigrated here long after slavery was ended....

and give it to people who were never slaves, didn't know any slaves, most don't even know if any of their ancestors were ever slaves.

Seems legit....

How about we simply throw every Democrat out of office?

Ironically it was Republicans that first proposed reparations and Democrats that vetoed them.

Thomas Jefferson and every other founding father (FF) is dead and buried. I don't recall them ever mentioning abortion in any of their writings. TJ and a good number of other FFs were slave owners so their fine words obviously didn't ever apply to every man, woman, child, fetus, fertilized egg, etc.

You using the FFs to support your ideology is a fraud since, if you want to go by the FFs, every American is pro-slavery and believe some lives are worth saving and others are not.

Once someone passes on it is hard to know what they would have said or done hundreds of years in the future. Would the FFs be pro-choice if they were alive today? They certainly believed in individual liberty and responsibility and limiting government intrusion into the lives of their citizens. Did they believe all life was sacred or just adult white males? I don't know and I'm sure you don't either.
