Zone1 Religion Versus Evolution

It's easier for me to believe there really is a Santa Claus than some almighty invisible being nobody has EVER seen, or that has been proven to exist.
And yet the universe popped into existence not being created from existing matter in an improbable way and is implausibly hardwired to produce intelligence.

Geology isn’t a science.
Really? We've drilled millions of wells around the world based upon the science of geology.

Yes, geology is a science, specifically the scientific study of Earth's structure, composition, processes, and history, using scientific methods and integrating concepts from physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics to understand our planet.

Here's why geology is considered a science:
  • Scientific Method:
Geologists use the scientific method, employing deductive reasoning and observation to understand geological phenomena.
      • Physics: For understanding forces and processes, like plate tectonics.
      • Chemistry: To study Earth's materials and reactions.
      • Biology: To investigate fossils and the history of life preserved in the rock record.
      • Mathematics: For modeling and analysis of geological data.
    • Focus on Earth:
The core focus of geology is to understand Earth, from its deep interior to its surface features, and how it has evolved over time.
    • Application of Principles:
Geologists apply scientific principles to address critical societal needs, such as managing natural resources, assessing natural hazards like earthquakes and volcanoes.
    • Predictive Capabilities:
By studying past processes and their effects, geologists can make predictions about future geological events and Earth's behavior.

humans were created as spiritual beings of light and love, not initially as physical bodies, who then chose to have physical experiences to learn and express themselves. These soul's experiences, collected through cycles of reincarnation, lead to wisdom and compassion, ultimately allowing the soul to understand its oneness with God.

I do believe we are spiritual beings experiencing a material existence but the whole concept of reincarnation is fraught with logistics problems.

I am sure that God is burdened by logistics...not.

I am sure that God is burdened by logistics...not.
God is not a thing. God is an action. God is every extant attribute that animates reality. As such God is love, truth, logic, etc. I am not saying God has those attributes. I am saying God is those attributes. So since God is Logic, logic dictates that things make sense. It doesn't make sense that there is a reservoir of souls waiting for their chance to enter a material existence. It's a numbers game. It also doesn't make sense that we don't retain wisdom from however many past lives we've led if the point is to build on past experiences.

Everything indicates allegory. Do you believe talking snakes are real?

Nothing indicates allegory in the creation and recreation in (Gen. 1:1-27).

Yes I believe the record of the fall of Adam in (Gen. 3:1-6). I believe the serpent did speak to Eve and tempt her to eat of the fruit. No allegory here.

Everything does. You believe in talking snakes so you can't see it.

No. I read like it was intended to be read. It's you who doesn't have a clue.

What have I disagreed with?

No, you take away from the Bible when you allegorize it to fit your logic. You add to it when you interpret it using your logic.

Your allegorical interpretation of the Bible is disagreeing with the Bible.

No, your allegorical interpretation of the Bible is false.

I believe the serpent in (Gen. 3) talked, yes. How? Possessed by Satan. (Rev. 12:9) "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan..."

Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God?

I couldn't care less what a religious nut job like yourself has to say.

I answer your questions yet you refuse to answer mine. Why? Scared? Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God?

I couldn’t be happier for you to believe that. You believe in talking snakes.
