Republican vs. Democrat -- which party attracts those for whom politics has replaced religion as their faith?

Is there really much difference between a bible thumper screaming that dinosaurs were put on the Earth by Satan to fool us all and a Wokester who can't define the word "woman"?

Both involve unquestioning faith over reason.
