And the drilling and mining tar sands is not polluting? The emissions from burning fossil fuels is polluting. Mining lithium is less polluting than mining copper. The mining of materials needed for ICE vehicles is just as polluting as the mining of materials for EV's. Overall, EV's are far less polluting than ICE's. That is regardless of the class of the EV or the source of the electricity that it runs on;

The topic you posted is about battery technology. To ignore that battery technology is polluting or wanting to downplay the pollution caused by mining, production and disposal of batteries is laughable. The truth is that the cleanest fuel for vehicles is not electric power using batteries but rather hydrogen. Hydrogen is a much cleaner fuel for vehicles.
