Rand Paul Begs President Biden For Relief Aid After Deadly Tornados. After A Career Of Voting No When Others Needed Aid

Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky dashed off a letter to President Joe Biden today pleading for expeditious federal relief aid to victims of a deadly 200-mile tornado that struck his state Friday.

In 2017, Paul was one of just 17 senators to oppose an emergency $15.3 billion federal relief bill for victims of Hurricane Harvey. In 2013, Paul was one of 31 Republican senators who voted against a $50.5 billion relief aid package for Hurricane Sandy.

Kentucky had been the nation’s largest recipient of FEMA funding ($293 million), mostly because of a 2009 ice storm.

More lies from Raw Sewage.

Rand has advocated getting the diverrting money for these kinds of relief efforts from places like idiotic foreign aid to countries that hate us, rather than just printing up the loot.

What would your libloon peckerheads do if you couldn't lie?

Oh shut your idiot mouth. Damn, you will pretty much defend ANYTHING any white guy with an (R) behind his name says and does.

"In 2017, the Senate passed a disaster relief bill for Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, with Paul being one of 17 senators — all Republicans — who voted No. Paul, speaking against the bill, said "People here will say they have great compassion and they want to help the people of Puerto Rico, the people of Texas, and the people of Florida. But notice they have great compassion with somebody else's money." - Salon

It's his usual MO....In any event, Raw Sewage is well known far leftbat agitprop, so there's a very real probability that they're omitting details as such.
^^just got obliterated with an actual vote and quote by Rand Paul.

Watch him continue to embarrass himself.

Kentucky will get the help it needs and it will be funded, not because of Lil Rand, no, but because of President Joe Biden, Speaker Pelosi, ranking Republican member of the Senate McConnell from Kentucky and in no small measure the obvious need and requests from Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear. If Rand Paul finds another reason to vote against helping his own state, as well as mine and others, he should be worried his own Kentucky neighbors, might beat the shit out of him again.

Career politicians are Heroes to you. lmao They have been laundering money their whole fucking Careers. They are all in the millionares club for it.

Kentucky pays taxes. FEMA is paid by taxes. FEMA is Insurance money for disasters. If they don't want to pay it. Then FIRE ALL FEDERAL EMPLOYEES. End raising the debt ceiling. And States will take care of internal affairs themselves.

The STATES ARE THE FEDERAL GOV'T. Anyways. Paul has my support. And don't care that he voted against Pork bills loaded with earmarks for federal relief before.

Kentucky pays taxes. They fund FEMA. If FEMA doesn't want to help via Brandon then Kentucky can just stop paying Federal Taxes then.

FEMA is INSURANCE. for storms. Kentucky can Insure itself without the FEDs .

So to end all further debate on this typical HOGWASH from the left. Fire ALL GOV'T EMPLOYEES. End the Debt Ceiling. And return to the limited delegated powers under the original Constitution. Then States can fund their own disaster relief programs without all this nonsense.
So did all the other states that Paul voted against.

That is what will happen. But the point here is Rand Pauls hypocrisy.

Not heroes to me. I just know how things work. Political demagogues want to appear as heroes to other people, and they love to spend money, as it is what they do. Sounds like Lil Rand the career politician that is your hero.
Have you lived in Kentucky very long?

Alabama. And I'm for term limits to all of them. But rather return the power to the states where they belong. The people of Kentucky pay taxes. And have earned the right to funding from FEMA. Most bills are Loaded with Pork spending and then they use those votes to say He didn't vote for helping people. It's all BS and a show.

So, I'm going to call BS on the claim that rand Paul voted to withhold aid to disaster areas. NO politician would do that.

The problem is, these politicians take these NECESSARY bills and attach a bunch of pork and other projects into then, hoping that it will force people to vote yes on the bill, and then they get all their special projects passed. Then, when someone votes no on the bill, because they can't allow those special projects and pork to go through, people blame them for not voting for the aid. That's not the case, they would have voted for the aid, if all they other junk wasn't stuffed into it.

The people they SHOULD be blaming for those relief bills not being passed are the one who are adding all that other stuff to it.

I've stated for a long time, the way these politicians do things is stupid. ALL bills should be single issue, not 2000+ pages of pork, earmarks, special projects etc... If they can't make all bills single issue, then at least bills should be classified into two categories, essential and non essential. Essential bills, like disaster relief, would be single issue, and LESS than 100 pages of PLAIN ENGLISH, not lawyerese. The rest could be grouped into multi bills, but limited in number. In other words, no bill should more than say....10 issues or something like that.

These 2000+ monstrosities should not be allowed to exist. Nobody reads them, not even the people voting on them, and important legiation gets voted down, and nonsense legislation gets passed.

All that needs to go away. Government would work SO much better if it was just....simpler....
