Democrats Cover Up Reckless Spending

to Play Politics with FEMA Relief

9 Oct 2024 ~~ By Bradley Jaye

Democrats and establishment media are blaming FEMA’s poor Hurricane Helene response on Republicans who opposed a lame duck spending bill – despite FEMA’s administrator stating unequivocally the agency has all the money it needs.
The Kamala Harris campaign has led the finger pointing at Republicans who voted against a September funding bill that included appropriations for FEMA – among hundreds of billions for additional projects across the federal government, much of which the Republicans view as wasteful, woke, and contributing to the nation’s poor economy.
That September bill easily passed, and the FEMA administer has made clear that however one might judge its initial response to Helene, funding is not to blame.

Republicans opposed the legislation for a number of reasons, most notably its funding for a grab bag of leftwing giveaways.
The bill included tens of billions of dollars in research grants from science agencies to universities for initiatives for “equity,” DEI, “gender-affirming care,” and fighting “racism” in fields of study like geoscience and engineering.
Funding in the bill also included billions of dollars in grants to nonprofits that enable illegal immigration by providing social services, transportation across the country, and connections to employment. Conservatives also point out the infrastructure programs funded by the bill disproportionately fund urban transit in Democrat strongholds, subsidize “road diets” and bike lanes that create congestion for drivers, and fund road-destroying EV buses.

FEMA has long been a bipartisan target of Congress, which has accused it of mishandling multiple disasters, most notably Hurricane Katrina. The agency has also come under fire in recent years for using funds to aid illegal immigrants under the justification of humanitarian assistance.

Those criticisms are likely to continue.
FEMA’s response to Helene is likely to continue for many years and cost billions of dollars, and the time to measure both the agency’s full efforts and Congressional response and oversight will come at a later date.

Commentary:
Another big pile of steaming Bull Scatology.Another from Democrats.
FEMA is holding BILLIONS in a slush fund that originally were funds from disasters from 2012 and earlier. It would take nothing at all to redesignate the funds into the current disaster budget.
This entire Biden administration has been a colossal disaster. This is just the latest example of their incompetence.. A total Bindem failure.
Gas anyone else noticed that every time Democrat Neo-Marxists screw the pooch badly they always blame Republicans or lately MAGA?
If the Republicans were as devious and powerful as Neo-Marxists claim, they’d never lose an election.
Loyal Americans know that Democrats own the executive branch and the Senate. This presently is their power .
Mother Nature has caught this administration with it's hand in the cookie jar. They are using any excuse they can come up with. Ask any 4 year old and they will tell you.
If you listen to the exuses shouted from the White House, KJP, and the Quisling Media talking heads, Democrats are not responsible for anything, unless it’s one of those rare events when they get something right.

Congress needs to get to the bottom of where and how FEMA money was spent on illegal aliens... this is a democrat self inflicted October Surprise...

Trump falsely claims Biden used FEMA funds for migrants -- something Trump did himself

Trump used FEMA funds for detaining and transporting undocumented immigrants.

Former President Donald Trump has been spreading false claims about the Biden-Harris administration’s response to Hurricane Helene, including the baseless claim that the administration is using Federal Emergency Management Agency money to house illegal migrants. Some of Trump’s allies, including Elon Musk, have been amplifying those claims.

Those claims are not true. But ironically, Trump attempted something similar to what he falsely claims the Biden/Harris administration is doing when he was president.

Back in 2019, Trump used money from FEMA’s disaster fund for migrant programs at the southern border. In August 2019, the Trump administration told Congress it intended to shift $271 million in funding from DHS -- including $155 million from FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund -- to pay for detaining and transporting undocumented immigrants and temporary hearing locations for asylum-seekers.

So let's investigate, shall we?

Don't be stupid... two years ago the Biden white house bragged about using FEMA resources to aide Migrants....

It's kind of funny when they say that Republicans are spreading misinformation and that FEMA has had a great response to the hurricane and yet the bad response is all Republican's fault.

DemocRATS raid our treasury to facilitate the deliberate INVASION of illegal aliens into our country.
They got them here.
The transport them nationwide.
The house them.
They clothe them.
They PAY them.
This is all an unbelievable act of TREASON and they laugh in our faces as they ABANDON AMERICAN CITIZENS IN A DISTASTER.
The people who are responsible for this should all be HANGED.

Pure projection by Trump and his cult.
It was TRUMP who redirected FEMA $$$ to migrants.

DHS reprogramming and transfer announcement on Aug. 27, 2019
WASHINGTON – On Sunday, the 30-day notification period ended from when the Department of Homeland Security notified Congress of its intent to reprogram and transfer $271 million of available funds to support requirements via authority provided in the FY 2019 DHS Appropriations Act.

The Administration submitted a supplemental request on May 1, for resources to address the humanitarian emergency, including funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention beds. On July 1, the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act was signed, providing $1.339 billion for DHS, but without funding for ICE Detention Beds for single adults.

Given the rise of single adults crossing the border, ICE has already had to increase the number of detention beds above what Congress funded. Without additional funding for single adult detention beds and transportation from the U.S. Border Patrol to ICE detention facilities, ICE will not be able to support the influx of migrants from U.S. Customs and Border Protection apprehensions.

When it became apparent that Dorian would near the Florida coastline, a tropical storm watch was issued for the Florida east coast from Deerfield Beach to Sebastian Inlet on August 31.

It was upgraded to a tropical storm warning a few hours later. A hurricane watch was issued for the area north of Deerfield Beach on September 1, and it was upgraded to a hurricane warning later that day.

On the night of September 1, a hurricane watch was issued for Volusia and Broward counties, which was later upgraded to a hurricane warning and extended down the coast.

What part of "different programs, different buckets of money" do you clowns not comprehend? You just mindlessly parrot all of Trump's lies without a thought in your pretty little head.

Nobody in the United States cares about what Canadian thinks

It makes perfect sense to use Federal Emergency Management Agency funds for the immigration emergency that Harris-Biden created.

The solution is to install a president who will not create anthropogenic emergencies, so that FEMA funds can be spend on emergencies caused by natural disasters.
