This is a capitalism-critique inspired by the film The Money Pit.

Cheers,

As crowds poured their flowers on the ground in front of the Vegas sign after the terrible shooting, social critics wondered what prompted someone to lash out against the iconic American haven for gaming and resorts. Was it a mad anger towards capitalism or consumerism or tourism? What happened?

A political cartoonist named Ajay Satan wondered if humanity in the age of media had become obsessed with idols and iconography regarding ferocity and piracy, since capitalism was such a competitive system. Ajay looked at a fictional A.I. robot from the Transformers (Hasbro) franchise, a wolfish assassin who transformed into a jet-fighter. Ajay compared this fictional robot, named Cyclonus, to the iconic Japanese fictional dinosaur-like 'leviathan' monster of energy and rampage known as Godzilla. Cyclonus represented wrath, while Godzilla represented fury. Ajay wondered if such avatars signifying calamity had 'over-taken' human consciousness in this modern age of great competition-intrigue and that that's what perhaps provoked a person to shoot innocent tourists in the casino-haven city of Las Vegas.

Ajay wrote for the New Yorker and submitted a politically-oriented comic book stylized tale about the Marvel Comics anti-heroine named Black Cat (Felicia Hardy) who went on a killing-spree, cutting down NYPD cops and making statements such as, "TrumpUSA can go to the dogs!" Ajay's incendiary political cartoon caused quite a stir, but he defended his outrageous piece by explaining that modern American society/capitalism and TrumpUSA required a certain kind of 'hyperbole-dramatism.'

Ajay then suggested that the 'labyrinth' of American capitalism unleashed an invisible 'dragon' called Leviathan, which was milky-white in color and resembled a cross between a snake, dragon, reptile, fish, and lizard. This 'creature' was the ultimate 'totem' of the 'unpredictability' of capitalism, a system based on risk and speculation and sometimes deficit-spending. Ajay suggested that TrumpUSA was 'chased' by Leviathan, since it was a culture of pure bias. Was Ajay right?

Ajay's political cartoon caught the attention of American media super-celebrity Tom Cruise who wanted to talk about the symbolism of the cartoon for a special Scientology conference in Las Vegas designed to create optimism towards the otherwise spirit-demoralizing Vegas shooting incident. Cruise wanted to talk about Dianetics, the Democratic National Party, and Dutch apartheid and the obligation of American media to embrace all the 'feathers' and 'ornaments' of consumerism consciousness. Ajay wondered if the media of American 'bravado' was itself unleashing Leviathan in a sort of 'speculative happiness.' Was Starbucks making Americans 'too child-like'?

SATAN: Thanks for meeting with me, Mr. President.
TRUMP: I'm happy to meet with a New Yorker writer, Ajay.
SATAN: By the way, I'm a Catholic from Algeria.
TRUMP: I was curious about your surname; there's an NHL-guy with that surname.
SATAN: Satan?
TRUMP: Yeah, kind of funny, hehe.
SATAN: Mr. President, what do you make of the Raiders (NFL) moving to Vegas?
TRUMP: It seems like a wise move for the franchise which needs to create 'energy.'
SATAN: Vegas is a thrilling city, after all.
TRUMP: It's been a city of great color and ritual and fun.
SATAN: Did you read about the Scientology conference in Vegas?
TRUMP: Yes, Tom Cruise mentioned it was partly meant to create optimism.
SATAN: Correct; there was some low-spirits after the Vegas shooting.
TRUMP: Well, there's nothing like a good 'religion-oriented' pep-talk!
SATAN: Are you a fan of 'hero-media'?
TRUMP: Isn't everyone?
