PU$S: 'John Kerry Expresses ‘Gratitude’ to Iran After U.S. Sailors Are Released...'

I just don't get many Americans today. I mean if Iranian sailors had trespassed into U.S. waters, they would have immediately been killed. Iran showed patience and restraint. That should be acknowledged. Our sailors are still alive. We should thank Iran. That's not unreasonable in any way.

They would not have been killed. They would have been welcomed as 'immigrants' to our country. Maybe we should have told Iran to fuck themselves and demanded our people back.

No, we shouldn't have trespassed into its waters. And i seriously doubt your scenario. The U.S. military would have likely blasted them to bits.

Millions upon millions upon enter illellegally. They are called illegal migration. Sometimes we even higher them to do our yardwork.

I guess the rubes are going to have to clamp their hands over their eyes and ears when those sailors go on the air and talk about their adventure in Iranian territory.

"I see no proof they violated Iranian waters!"

Iran captures 10 Americans right before Obama's speech....coincidence
Libs claim the US govt 'enabled' Iran to 'rescue' 10 'off-course' sailors
Kerry thanks them publicly for releasing them
Iran then posts embarrassing photos of US soldiers on their knees like war criminals

The left praises Kerry and Obama for their incredible show of strength and negotiating skills... The FACT is the Obama administration has already shown they know how to do nothing but negotiate from a position of weakness, and Iran has 'owned them' as has Putin.

While I am glad our guys are coming back safely, I am not buying how this leaves anything but America looking weak...and I am not convinced that this was not orchestrated in a 'timely' manner.

That is my opinion. While I completely disagree with others I have heard I do respect your right to hold whatever opinion you have.

We're talking about Iranian military. I'm pretty sure our military would have shot first, and asked questions later.

I haven't seen evidence to show we were inside of their 12nm boundary. As I said, Iran claims a boundary outside of the 12nm. Link to the specifics?

(Being held hostage at gunpoint by Iranians, to be released wouldn't YOU 'admit' to being in their waters and apologize? No? You go, 'John Wayne'! :p)
Other than we admit it?

"I see no proof they violated Iranian waters!"
And you have provided no evidence to support they were inside of the 12nm internationally recognized boundary. There is an easy way to settle the issue - produce the evidence.

Other than we admit it?
Were you on your knees with your hands over your head at gun-point and given the option of being released if you just admit to being in their waters or being held hostage, tell me you would not admit to it even if you weren't.... No? Like I said, 'You go, 'John Wayne'!'

They admitted it, the U.S. Admitted it

We were wrong......Iran did is a favor by not making a big deal out of it

How would Trump have responded if some Iranians drifted into US territory?

I appreciate your last line and agree that respect for others opinions is important. I just don't understand the hypocrisy. I love America and in no way support Iran, however I can objectively look at a situation. Flip the script... Had a boat of armed Iranian soldiers entered our waters how do you think we would have reacted? Also, you say you are not convinced that we were in their waters... Well what if it comes out that we were and you see evidence. Do you change your opinion on the situation? If that is true then would you agree that appropriate actions were taken from both sides?

We get it. Go to war and have 100s if not 1000s of US soldiers killed or maimed.
You are so big and tough behind the keyboard.
Loser.

'...Then Iranian State TV Publishes These Images'

Secretary of State John Kerry publicly thanked the Iranian government for the release of 10 U.S. Navy sailors, but shortly after the statement, the Iranian government released images of the capture as if to boast.

“I want to express my gratitude to Iranian authorities for their cooperation ‎in swiftly resolving this matter,” Kerry
said in a statement Wednesday.

Iran’s capture of 10 Navy sailors Tuesday came as a significant embarrassment for the U.S. as President Barack Obama delivered the State of the Union address that night and touted his Iranian nuclear deal.

“I’m very pleased that our Sailors have been safely returned to U.S. hands,” Kerry said in a statement. “As a former Sailor myself, I know the importance of naval presence around the world and the critical work being done by our Navy in the Gulf region. I’m proud of our young men and women in uniform and know how seriously they take their responsibilities to one another and to other mariners in distress.”

'Thank you, sir. MAY I HAVE ANOTHER?!

Yeah, so many Americans do want war with Iran. It's very sad. Here Iran shows amazing restraint, yet many Americans still blame them. U.S. sailors trespassed into their waters. They're lucky to still be alive. But so many just want war. They're gonna blame Iran even though it's obvious the U.S. was in the wrong.

Admitting to something, especially when you have a gun to your head, doesn't necessarily mean US personnel were inside of the internationally-recognized 12nm boundary.

Kerry is proclaiming this

to be an example of how 'great' our 'new relationship' is after his masterful negotiations resulting in Obama's deal.

(Yeah, I just LOVED how Kerry and Iran were forging that new relationship during negotiations: Iran mocked the US, called for our destruction, talked of nuking Israel and us, practiced sinking a US carrier, and violated the terms of the not-yet-finished deal...or how they have celebrated our new relationship by violating the deal twice more...without Obama carrying out the consequences he said would be dealt if they violated the deal.)

I guess we are supposed to thank Obama and Kerry for starting a Middle Eastern nuclear arms race (according to Saudi) and making it easier for Iran to acquire nukes (like Clinton did with NK).

Nice...we're all buddy-buddy. Yay team Obama!

Would you be saying that if Iranian sailors had trespassed into U.S. waters? Somehow i doubt it. Fact is, our military would have blown them to bits. There would be no Iranians alive to tell the tale.

Iran showed patience and restraint. I mean what were these sailors doing in its waters? Iran has every right to be angry and suspicious. The U.S. does owe it an apology.

Don't get me wrong, I can absolutely believe that the Obama administration could F* up and we get caught where we shouldn't be (which has not definitively been shown to be the case yet in this thread other than claims), but it is not difficult to believe the POSSIBILITY either that Obama and Kerry are so willing to prevent anything negative from rising up that they would roll over and agree to just about anything to keep this 'deal' form being strained / falling apart...even to admit being in the wrong and apologizing for something we did not do.

After all, this are the guys who sat at the table begging for a deal while Iran's leader led chants of 'Death to America', called for our destruction, talked about nuking Israel and us, practiced destroying US aircraft carriers, and violated terms of the deal before the deal was even done.

You're so full of shit! You have no idea what you are talking about.

We have things called RULES OF ENGAGEMENT that prevent us from just rolling in on an Iranian ship if it were in our waters and 'blowing it to bits'. We have intercepted Russian 'Bear' bombers inside of our airspace in Alaska practicing nuclear bombing runs - we intercepted them and ESCORTED them out of the area. We have caught other nation's submarines well within our territorial waters and 'escorted' them out. We have caught Cuban / Russian surveillance trawlers/boats in our territorial waters off of Florida when launching rockets / shuttles and ESCORTED them out of our waters, not 'blown them to bits', you moron!

'No Iranians alive to tell the tale'...

Agreed, we would not have just blown them to bits but lets be real. We would have detained the soldiers, confiscated the weapons and then vetted their story. It would be idiotic to take the soldiers at their word without verification so we would have been very careful to assess the situation before letting them go free. I'm confused with what you are objecting to? Assuming the boat was in Iranian waters, what did they do that we would not have done? What are you mad about?

Then you have no idea what you are talking about whatsoever. We would have done exactly what they did, taken them into custody and released them to the owning nation.

It is YOUR OPINION that we would have detained Iranians. I have just given you examples of how the US in the past has NOT detained personnel but escorted them out of our territory.

ASSUMING (and you know what happens when you assume, especially in regards to Obama) the boat was in their waters, why make the incident a HUGE public display? Why apologize in front of the whole world and profess to have been doing any wrong-doing. Clearly this was part of the conditions of their release....conveniently afterwards the Iranians just happen to release the pro-Iranian propaganda photos of the weak, in-the-wrong Americans on their knees before the Iranian might...

ASSUMING the US was definitely in the wrong the Iranians just milked it for all it's worth, making another case of the Obama administration / America under Obama looking weak.
