Proof Romney Is A Elitist: Says $12 Million Mansion 'Inadequate' For Our Needs

Romney is making a mistake doing this in a election cycle and during hard economic times for millions of American citizens around the country. This course of action makes him out to be a RINO elitist who is out of touch with the common citizen. This will definitely not score him any points with voters and it will give his rivals and GOP candidates ammo to criticize him with. Voters will resent this type of behaviour and turn to a more down to earth candidate that they can resonate with.

Obama paid $1.65 million for his home.
Obama wanted to increase the size of his side yard and in January 2006, Obama paid Rezko $104,500 for a strip of his land.

Where is the liberal outrage at Obama and his elitist home? Nowhere.

And that's fine with me. I don't give a shit where Obama lived, how much he spent, etc. It's none of my business. Same goes for Romney.

Big DEAL--:cuckoo:
Sounds like Romney and his wife didn't lay the foundation for their 5 sons to gain independence so they could learn to live on their own instead shacking up with their parents. Some parenting skills aye?

Sounds more like they prefer the extended family lifestyle. Which is their right, and not our business.

It seems to me that when a candidate is more like the common American their considered less presidential and therefore unelectable..

The frustration is more with the quality of our candidates over.. ah.. as long as I can remember..

You really have to wonder why the cream of the crop don't run...

That is not what being an 'elitist' means.

That was a pretty ill-considered comment.

'Elitist' as it is generally used in current political parlance refers to someone who considers him or herself better than others and who looks with disdain on 'regular' people. Would-be elitists like to imagine they are admired by 'enlightened' people and disliked only by those who envy their superiority and/or are laboring under an 'anti-intellectual' bias or such.

Think obama's "cling to their guns and religion" speech.

Simply being wealthy, highly educated, or successfull in some way does not automatically make someone 'elitist.' Americans value success. Arrogant, shitty attitudes are what Americans reject. Such attitudes are very often accompanied by rank hypocrisy.

Not to mention his four more wives!

Please. McCain couldn't count the number of houses his wife owns.

Think.

Republican leadership are all millionaires.

Republican base are cannon fodder.

That's the way it's supposed to be, right?

and John Kerry and Al Gore weren't millionaires? Come on, both parties usually nominate rich people...

think.

What have 50 years of supporting the Democrat millionaires gotten all the "cannon fodder" in the ghettos? The Cannon Fodder of the GOP are doing far better, but that's probably because they aren't sitting around waiting for a government handout.

He is going to create some jobs and isn't that what you want?? He earned that money, it's not taxpayer money, so what's the problem with it? The bigger problem is Obama and his bus tour at tax payer expense, with a bus that was built and re-fitted in Canada with tax payer money, the bus from Mordor which created jobs in Canada but not here.:cuckoo:
Did you have the same objections when Bush, Jr. used a Canadian bus?

I heard that all those buses were made in Canada. They are then retrofitted in the US.

I would say that your definition pretty well fits in with definition #1. Seems to me about what PJ was saying.

I would also think that the definition pretty much fits with Romney as well as Obama and Perry.

Immie

Show me where Romney or Perry has pulled a "Oh you ignorant rubes!" bit in a public speech.
