Prices Skyrocketing Under Trump!

The price of a gallon of gas doubled during the Biden administration and nobody on the left used the term "skyrocket". The price of a dozen eggs was shocking but CNN makes excuses... "sniff, sniff, it wasn't old Joe's fault". The bottom line is that Trump's tariffs are working and the left is desperate to get their licks in before they are out of options.

BECAUSE OF trump's TARIFFS, PRICES ON AMERICAN CONSUMERS ARE GOING THROUGH THE ROOF! PLEASE, CUT INTEREST RATES NOW.

DURING THE DISASTROUS dubya ADMINISTRATION, INTEREST RATES WENT TO ZERO. WE NEED THAT NOW, UNDER THE Trump ADMINISTRATION THAT MAKES Dubya LOOK LIKE AN ECONOMIC GENIUS!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

BIGLY!!!
Trump wants to penalize seniors and those trying to save by lowering interest rates so people can afford mortgages. I got news for him. He can take interest rates to zero, and people still won't be able to afford today's housing prices!

Trump want to lower the cost of leverage for big business.

He does not care if a family of five lives in a two-bedroom apartment.

You take no responsibility for that reason. We are a corrupted nation. We have ghetto people who supposedly find it tough to survive taking cruises.

I haven't noticed price hikes as my wife is the spender between the two of us. I suppose imports will become more expensive. And perhaps as foreign countries open up their markets to American goods the increase in demand will cause our prices to rise.

I'm not in favor of the tariffs. But it is too soon to judge and so I'll give it a year even though I'm not hopeful. Long term I believe government protectionism in place of a free market will play into unions' hands.

How would it be different?
Gee, I don't know, Moonie...maybe when you have a Supply Chain crisis you'd think that the Secretary of Transportation would be working non-stop to FIX that crisis. What you wouldn't expect is for someone to take a job that they have no intention of devoting the time that such a job entails!

You would take the patenity leave whether you had good subordinates or not. You are just that kind of freeloader.

If you give a shit about the country you don't take a crucial position when you KNOW you're going to take a lot of time off for maternity leave!
You can believe that, and we all can laugh at you because you are no authority, certainly not ethical or moral, after all the nonsense you write here.

Ohhh they are rising much higher than reported. That explains it. No one is reporting higher prices.
eat a shit samich you dumb ****

The CPI uses a fixed basket of goods and services, which doesn't account for how consumers substitute cheaper alternatives when prices rise, a behavior that can lead to the CPI overstating the cost of living.

While the official CPI reported a 2.7% annual inflation rate as of July 2025, some economists believe this doesn't tell the whole story, with differing opinions on whether the true cost of living is actually higher or lower than reported.

"The bureau has been hampered by budget and staffing cuts and has halted data collection in multiple cities. Along with that, the data has had to impute values in a number of the goods and services it tracks, leading to questions over accuracy and credibility."

I don't think it will play to the unions. Quite the opposite I believe. I think it will force Americans to either accept the challenge to compete with value for $$$ or the rest of the world will have to increase wages--which may very well play to the unions benefit. I think we will experience some MAJOR economic issues if that happens--inflation will truly blow the roof off. Hopefully, we Americans are up to the task of competing on the world market.

That's odd, Astroschtick---- when prices were through the roof and folks were paying $7.00/gallon of gas, the Left's answer was that they didn't mind, they could afford it, and they were all for it if it was good for the country.

But interesting that NOW, you're going broke.

Let us know when you are FLAT broke and must move out into a refrigerator box under the bridge.

You have to be an "authority" to know that you shouldn't accept a position that you know is going to be both demanding and crucial when you also know you're going to take an extended maternity leave and not be able to DO the job? Doing THAT is what is unethical, John! Mayor Pete should have politely turned that position down.

Pete Buttigieg was as incompetent as his boss. The transportation sector has seen it since he took the job. IDGAF if he is confused as to his gender assignment or not, he is not competent to fulfill any job.

The feds don't do supply chains that would be civilians that operate it.
