What I was referring to really is that the United State is perhaps the worst place for a repressive regime like the one we see unfolding. What might have worked in other countries with a relatively unarmed populace will be a lot harder here. For years republicans cried out that people need guns to protect them from among other things, big government, now that same ideology is about to become the very thing they urged Americans to prepare for - big repressive government.

Don't be surprised either if trump decides to enact a gun restriction policy, because if he doesn't he won't be able to trample on the people like he wants to.

You have to disarm a population if you want to abuse them.
