Former President Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy at Rep. John Lewis’s funeral on Thursday, according to CNN and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush are also expected to attend the service honoring the late Georgia congressman and civil rights icon, the news outlets said, citing sources familiar with the plans.

Lewis, a Democrat, died earlier this month at the age of 80 after a months-long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush are also expected to attend the service on Thursday.

I'm sure John Lewis would be very proud to have President Obama deliver his eulogy.

Then after that, they'll bury Lewis and we won't have to hear any more about him.

Thank you president Obama for finally closing out this charade.

Couldn't ask for a higher profile send-off than President Obama.

Mr. Lewis was a political hack who lived off the fat of the land for decades doing the bidding of Soros and other socialist masters. I don't see where that qualifies him from a bigger funeral than someone who did a lot more like Charlie Daniels who died earlier this month (and is also associated with the tremendous city of Jackson, Mississippi)

I am sure that the event will be very moving.

Presidents Bush, Clinton, and Obama will add great dignity.

I am assuming that President Carter cannot attend because of health concerns.

And I feel that President Trump (whom Representative Lewis called an "illegitimate" President) realized that he would not be welcome if he attended.

History, as always, will have the last word on Representative Lewis's legacy.

A racist giving an eulogy for another racist, how special.

I'm surprised that Dubya is showing. The deceased really hated the Bush Family too.
