Post A Message to The Future Here.

Capitalism and competition are wonderful things, but the answer to everything they are not.

Government is just another tool..... it's the Monkey Business that gums it up.

2026 Dilemma:

Are you more willing to give up some freedom and privacy for increased security? :dunno:

Could I be content in a World that has more privacy and freedom, but leaving 'home' means that I may run in to opinions, people and weirdos that make me uncomfortable? :eusa_think:

I suppose..... :smoke:

As long as everyone agrees to keep their hands and projectiles to themselves unless asked to share.

AVG-TimeTrip # 007

I'm imagining another Time Trip....

008:

This Time we are going back to the early 1800's to convince the power-brokers of the day to halt the Westward Expansion of their young USA at the Mississippi River, actually leaving the land to the west of the river to The First Americans, "for as long as the rivers run and the wind blows.....", instead of just until the next administration takes over.

Once again... :disbelief: Very different TimeLine...

......... Best hunting & hiking on the planet!

How about the youngest of the European Colonies currently thriving in our Here and Now?

:dunno: What will happen to our TimeLine when the Israelis finally decide that they have enough land, and sign a real contract to give something to the displaced locals, with genuine borders and autonomy?

:eusa_eh: What will happen if they don't?

:eusa_think: Well... I suppose annihilation and relocation remain on the table. At least as long as there is still a population to remove and/or annihilate....

Interesting point on an interesting TimeLine

Things I have noticed that the Trump Administration is doing that will help....

1. His Gerrymander move on the mid terms has brought that issue closer to the front burner than ever. Fingers hereby crossed that the next congress bans the practice.

2. His chaotic dismantling of the bureaucracy and disregard for the safety of government data bases has put a spotlight on how much the various government programs attempting to feed and educate were actually helping.

3. The longer his war on Iran goes on, the more attractive windmills and solar become.

4. His attempts at revising history have brought so many stories out of the American Woodwork that may never have been republished or spread on social media had he not tried to bury them.

Trump may be fixing a few things the USA in spite of his best efforts.

 Staying tuned...

Maybe the disregard his family has for tax-payer integrity and their willingness to game the system will be a catalyst toward a fair and simple tax code.....

Enjoy your life, family, friends as life goes too fast. Work hard, be honest but find time to enjoy the view.....

Seems like every time an old trash pile, I mean really old, like 1,000 years or more, gets found, a lot of people get excited and start carefully pulling the decayed bits and pieces apart calling the pieces 'artifacts' and putting the stuff in museums. Ass-u-me-ing you're reading this in the USMessageboard Documentation of The Last 1,000 Years Library of History, and ass-u-me-ing human nature remains interested in the past, I want you to know that this average Joe did not understand the Pet Rock either. Nor do I get the attraction of "texting".

I also want you to know that in spite of what you have probably read about living at the dawn of the 21st Century, I feel lucky to be alive now. The odds of an average Joe being born into a pretty nice life have been getting better and better up to now, in no small part due to the influence of the concept behind 'America', and I trust the trend has not changed. Ain't life cool?

Do most of you feel lucky yet?

Have you reached for the stars?

confucius we're fucked.webp
