Post A Message to The Future Here.

I just heard that the Republican Majority in Florida is pushing through a bill that will make it easier for corporations to sue journalists and others for libel.

We already have laws that allow for redress if someone is spreading lies and rumors.....

Specifically, this legislation was requested by the Sugar Industry here, I think because they are tired of hearing the truth about how their industry continues to rape Florida in so many historic ways....

My humble opinion also is that, as the history books get written over the next 150 years, the Republicans are going to have a lot of explaining to do regarding their war on Truth and Facts.

Very interesting Times

The democrats are the ones who have been pushing lies, and prosecuting people and placing them in jail.....for memes.....

Where were you then? :eusa_think:

Both sides of the Swamp Party will have a lot of explaining to do. Everyone in D.C. is in a huge, witch's cult. They all scratch each others' backs. Don't fall for the psy-op that would have you believe that it's the Dems vs. the Repubs.

The Democrats are too busy trying to figure out the paperwork....

I'm talking about how loose the Republicans are with the truth in this administration.

Pointing out another guy for his shortcomings will not cure the scowl on your own wife's face my brother.

I've been judging every administration since Carter on the levels of bullshit, transparency and hypocrisy and this administration wins the bullshit award hands down. And Trump is the bullshit artist in chief.

Of course, this is just my humble and evolving opinion

Of course it's the Dems -vs- the Repubs!

That is what a nation gets when it's people form two competing corporations to fight for political control using any means available.

Give Trump his due, the corporate battle for political support will never be the same, and not just here in the US.... Worldwide.

Once again, just me thinking out loud on a message bored.

Here's a weird thought...

What if everyone just gave up on the Democratic Party, Inc. and registered as Republican?

Who would Trump despise in his posts then? :dunno:

It's a weird and arbitrary dividing line if you think about it.....

Dear Awesome Future,

Thanks everybody, glad you could all make it, it's been an awesome ride, and I cannot wait until tomorrow.

The thing is Joe, it isn't the REGISTRATION that matters, it is what people DO with their registration.

Look at RINOS: they are registered as republicans yet many are as bad or worse than the democrats.

That's funny, you're talking about something that hasn't happened, and I am talking about things that HAVE happened.

Like I said, where were you when the democrats were incarcerating people for memes?

I don't care where the Democrats are or were...

I am pointing out that the levels of bullshit, hypocrisy and spin with the current, Republican Administration are..... epic.

Even compared to Clinton and Bush II....

Winner, Winner! Chicken dinner! :thewave:

You point out the current, but totally ignored the even worse last admin.

What do you win? Hypocrite of the year?

Seriously Joe, what is your point if you are not willing to contrast the current criticized (epic) behavior against the reference standard--- Biden, to show how it leaps out different from the established norm?

What bullshit? What hypocrisy? What spin? How does it measure against other administrations? Without specifics to measure against, you make it impossible to agree or disagree with you.

You are wrong.

I HATE what Biden did to this country.

His stupid, self-righteous, self-centered, stupid decision to run for a second term may be the single decision that historians will point to as the beginning of the end.

Like I said... The dumb Democrats are too busy with the paperwork to be effective in any direction.

So weak they are that even a lying, cheating, convicted felon like Trump can beat 'em in a fair election :doubt:

Is an end to ALL Gerrymandering too much to ask?

I have been grading each and every administration since Carter, live and in person, on bullshit, hypocrisy and spin.

EVERY administration had their own brand and levels, Bush II made me question my membership in the Republican Party for the first time and Donal Trump wins the overall prize only one year in to his second term.

His first term was on par with Biden and Bush I. I blame the guardrails like Bolton, Barr and Pence.

As ineffective as he was, Carter was the most transparent, and the lightest on spin and bullshit, at least in my opinion and during my lifeTime. Almost makes me wish I had voted for him.

Well shit Joe, if gerrymandering were ended today and the results reversed, the Dems would lose a tremendous amount of power.

They are literally the party of gerrymandering.

Well, I reserve judgement on presidents for not so much during their term but afterwards after it is over, so while I already know how other presidents turned out doing, the book is still open for Trump because he still has three years left to go, is again facing unprecedented obstacles most all of the Democrat's creation, all the while trying to effect wholesale changes to the system.

But I like your Biden analysis: had the democrats at all offered half-descent presidents or candidates at all between Obama, Hillary, Biden or Harris, if any of them had been anything better than horrible, we probably wouldn't have Trump now, so, the worse Trump is, the more it just reminds me of just how bad the democrats were that he was the better solution.

Perhaps.... But the Republicans are much better at it.

And I will certainly take my chances with fairly drawn political districts in this country. Gerrymandering is how outdated politicians with bad ideas remain in power.

I don't care what party wins as long as the process is fair and transparent.... I trust The American Electorate.

I would even bet that an end to Gerrymandering would make the Republican party more palatable to me, as more and more capitalistic extremism is washed out in the primaries. Both parties will have to listen more to less money.

With the Republicans cornering the market on meanness in politics and disregard for the environment, and the Democrats shrunk in to the woodwork like a short dick on a cold day, I'm feeling less and less represented.

* SIGH *

At least it's interesting...

If the repubs were better at it, there wouldn't be entire states that have 40% plus registered repubs with ZERO congressional districts representing them.

Democrats ARE the party of gerrymandering Joe.

Entire states? Really?

If you can name them, instead of throwing out a blind, unproven stat, I will be impressed.
