He's not going to change anything - good as his intentions are.
 
The Pope is more concerned with preventing contraception than preventing pedophillia.

From what I see in media reports many tens of thousands of Mexicans disagree with you and feel that it wasn't a waste of time.

It certainly is true that a Papal visit will most likely not change things overnight, but it is an important support to the local communitity.
 

I disagree. Visited the country last year and was quite impressed with the development. Certainly still a long way to go and a hard struggle ahead against the drug-criminals. But all in all I think Mexico is moving in the right direction, which is more than can be said for certain other Latin american countries (Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, etc.)
 
Hope you are right. Doesn't look good though.

I was only in Mexico one time and that was around 1976 to Tiijuana if you can count that as Mexico.
