Within two years, my guess is my company will drop insurance and give us cash instead. At that point I'll probably go without insurance paying the fine till I need an expensive procedure. Why pay for something you don't need rather than creating a nest egg that earns enough interest, on it's own, to pay for everything you might need?

Obamacare allowed exactly that by grandfathering existing policies if the companies offering them did not change them.
